Tuberville Out at AU

There's no evidence to make that assessment on right now. My guess is, if you ask me the same question in 4 years, the answer will be yes.
agreed, from all i can gather a HUGE upside, just still needs to prove it, and for some reason I think he will

hes only 54, I could see him resting happily on his 6 million over the next year and this time next year taking a trip down to coral cables and taking over that disaster of a program run into the ground by Larry Coker and Randy Shannon. I hate Miami but college football is so much more fun when they are really good and everyone is out to get them.

Today on the Paul Finebaum radio show they talked about rumors that Tubby was going to get fired and that Patrino, and Leach had been informally inquired about their interest. They seemed to think it was all talk and rumor....I guess not!

Listening to Paul Finebaum on the net and they are saying that Jimbo Fisher and Muschamp are rumored to be the top 2 AU is going after. They also added that Tubby wasn't going to be fired unless a big name could be hired.

I am not sure which is worse...listening to Bammers talking about how great their program is knowing they actually do have history, or hearing dawgs talk about how great theirs is knowing Herschel Walker is their history.

Its a matter of time until they bring Leach in for an interview...SEC is getting more and more interesting...

I always liked him, no matter what all the "experts" said. He did a lot to help Auburn football get back on the map!

supposedly they have already contacted leach, they also said they contacted patrino, but that is not going to happen ( i guess it could but it will take a whole lot of money). They also say they want Paul Johnson. Then there are the long shots of Jimbo Fisher and Muschamp...Muschamp may not be a long shot, but I have heard there were a lot of unpleasent feelings between him and the university.

I heard that Jimbo Fisher may be in play since Deddy Bowden announced his intention to return next year. I figured that the coach in waiting thing would be a very short lived trend.

They must be listening to Charles Barkley. He made his plea for Auburn to bring in Gill on Inside the NBA on Thursday.

Haha, I didn't hear sir Charles but that doesn't surprise me. Turner Gill would def be the anti Saban choice for Auburn, and he would bring back the hard nosed running game they seem to want after the failed spread this year. His record isn't much, although, getting Buffalo to a bowl is an accomplishment in itself.
