You serious Clark? Say what you want about the clusterf**k the Middle East currently is (I tend to agree), but they don’t call it the cradle of civilization for nothing. They were damn near aligning the planets while the rest of the world was learning to wipe its collective ass.

That’s actually a great point. Maher pulls crap like this every day on his current show and the libs lap it up. But Carlson says something like 10 years ago on a shock radio show and he has to burn at the stake. Nah, total BS.

Bill Maher is a vulgar, offensive prick on his show. He can get away with a lot more than Tucker, who wears a bow tie and hosts a cable news show on a conservative news network.

How can you not see the stark difference? Also, Carlson's sound bites are worse than just about anything Maher has ever said.

I'm confused are we saying people that make questionable comments should always be fired? never fired?

I've been in the "shouldn't be fired" camp for a long time regardless of political persuasion. Seems several here decided based upon which party the perp belongs to.

I'm in the camp of "it's the network's call because the ratings have the final say."

I really don't see what difference it makes. Let's not pretend that most of this crap on major network news isn't on par with Kevin Nealon or Norm MacDonald on the SNL Weekend Update instead of Edward R. Murrow.

I gotta disagree man. I didn’t hear them but I read the transcripts. I don’t think it’s a big deal. The left is just trying to use this old crap to tear his shown down since they can’t beat it straight up.

Sure, in terms of how offensive it is.

However, you can't really feasibly deny that Real Time's standards are way different than Fox's.

If you get caught smoking in the bathroom at charm school vs. the same crime at an inner city public school... your consequences will differ.
