TV, movies, music, Books and whatnot.

would have love to have been there

very cool.
Wonder ifhe discussed the film version that was titled Simon Birch
My son turned me on to Owen Meany while he was in HS or Jr Hi
we talked a bit about Irving earlier tonight, He said he's considering including it in one of his undergraduate courses he teaches

I don’t recall if he talked about the movie. The Friday night before the Ryman, he did a reading at the Library that was very cool. He read from Last Night at Twisted River which had just released or was about to be released (I can’t recall the exact timing). I wasn’t sure how many folks would show up at the Ryman Saturday morning. I arrived early and the line was around the block with folks waiting to get inside.

“Author John Irving doubted his novel, "A Prayer for Owen Meany", could ever be turned into a film, and sold the screen rights on the condition it not be released under the same name as his book. Irving himself provided the name Simon Birch for the producers to use in place of Owen Meany.”

Finally got around to watching Jurasic World Dominion. They keep making the same movie over and over again.

Really liked The Peripheral on Prime, so I ordered some William Gibson books. Just finished Neuromancer. It was good. Reading the Peripheral next.

I will investigate digital antennas and consider getting one for when Internet access is interrupted.
No such thing as a "Digital" antenna the same old antenna from the 70's, 80's or 90's does the same thing. Manufacturers started adding "HD/Digital" to advertising and packaging to get people to buy new antennas etc..

If your close enough to the towers old Rabbit Ears would still work.
