Why shove it down EVERYONE's throats by having it on damn near every single new show being shown. Just get rid of ALL of the sexuality in the shows. Watching the 3rd Star Trek last night and they HAD to make Sulu have a husband. People are free to accept those displays as "OK" or they don't affect me. Others are equally free to say, yeah, real life is real life but don't put it in every damn show on TV.

When I brought it up I was watching Warrior. Didn't expect the gay sex scene. I thought to myself "why they gotta show this crap" then my next thought was someone saying "well you don't say anything about male and female sex scenes" and I genuinely thought "get rid of that too Idgaf about seeing any of it." That fair???

So I came here and got it off my chest. Far from obsessed but also don't care if that's what it looks like either.

The point is, TV is not real life. TV is entertainment. If you want to reach a very broad audience then you present what reaches the broadest audience. Someone threw 5% of couples are same sex out. Why are we gunning for 5% of the TV audience? If they are insulted by all hetero couples, then get rid of all of it. I'm in your corner.

I watched Gray's Anatomy for a longtime. It got to where 2 out of 3 shows were dedicated to LGBQ something or other. I stopped watching it. That's the only way I have to protest.

Stop taking it so personally. I’m not putting you on ignore because I enjoy most of your posts. You’re posting opinions, I’m posting opinions. I’m not replying to you with thinly veiled obscenities.

It’s (public sexuality) so common, on the tube and IRL. I’d be plenty happy with fewer PDA’s in general. What’s private should be private. And no one else’s business.

I gave up on Grey’s Anatomy years ago because it was so ridiculous. Medical residents I knew IRL fell asleep in their dinner plates. They didn’t have the time or energy for boinking everything on two legs. Much less their program directors, who never looked like Patrick Dempsey in their wildest dreams.

I really don't notice it much, but then again, I don't watch a lot of the new shows. I'm just as likely to do a Wild Wild West, X-Files, Millennium, Carnivale, or some show I like DVD marathon as I am to binge something new on Netflix or Prime. The only thing I noticed a while back was when I did a Fringe rewatch. It was on one of the free streaming networks. Like every commercial had a gay couple in it. And I really didn't think about it much, honestly don't remember which channel it was, other than thinking the channel must be involved in some agenda or catering to some group with its programming. Whatever. I mean if it's as widespread as you folks are saying (which I have no reason to doubt), I'd be fine with less PDA in general. The only time the PDA really influences me is when I'm at school and have to deal with it with the students and when policy defines hand holding (something I personally consider normal, healthy behavior for teenagers) is treated as a PDA, which I think is crazy, reactionary nonsense.

What the hell did they call him......I can't remember now. It was good for about 2 or 3 years then it slowly started to suck. I could have taken the one gay Dr. relationship but it just got to where the show was stupid and it wanted you to believe the errybody was turning gay.
