Have you ever read the books? They are pretty wonderful, and they bring in the arcs from the different stories in an amazing and satisfying way: Harry Bosch/ Mickey Haller/ Renée BallardThe Lincoln lawyer has been pretty good so far
He has a wonderfully consistent approach with all his characters, who are all (whoops sorry, not Mickey, who is decidedly not LAPD, but is part of the judicial system) dedicated LAPD employees who are determined to serve the public by discovering and exposing how their loved ones died, even (and especially) when it rocks the boats of departmental politics.
In the books, Bosch is a Vietnam vet, a survivor of the tunnel wars. In the TV series, he is an Iraqi war vet. If you’re only familiar with Connelly’s TV versions, be sure to note the pub date if you read the books to avoid confusion. Which you absolutely should (read the books, that is.)
If you only watch the Prime series, Titus Welliver is perfect as Bosch. Killer casting.
