Just curious as to what people think.

Underrated
The Inbetweeners
Trailer Park Boys
Reaper
Prison Break
Freaks And Geeks
Undeclared
Grounded For Life
Burn Notice

Overrated
Seinfeld
Family Guy
House
Sex And The City
American Idol
Entourage
Dragon Ball Z
Adventure Time
all reality shows - Kardashians, Real Housewives, Survivor, Real World, Bad Girls Club etc.

I'm sure if I watched CSI shows(NCIS, 24, Law and Order?), Grey's Anatomy, ER, Lost, Dr. Who, Gossip Girl, Desperate House Wives and all of that stuff I'd think those are overrated as well. I didn't like Bones, is that popular? If so, overrated. I was also tempted to throw in 30 Rock, Community and South Park but they're alright and I'm not sure Community is popular enough to be overrated.

Soo.... what shows do you think aren't as good as the popularity suggests and what shows don't get enough credit?

I agree with a lot of those. I think I'm the only who doesn't like trailer park boys.

The bolded I agree with. Reaper is amazing, should've made 5 seasons at least. Grounded for life at least made it a while to the point it wasn't as great.

House was amazing until the last season, but the final arc was great at least. DBZ was the pioneer of anime in America, that'd be kind of like hating on the Articles of Confederation. I can't hate on adventure time because it kept me sane when I babysat kids when I was younger. There were enough adult jokes snuck in there to keep me entertained when the kids didn't get why I was laughing.

to add to your list (in America only for some of these)

Underrated:
Bar Rescue
Angel
Supernatural
Archer
Wilfred
Misfits (british tv show. watch the hell out of it and laugh your ass off)
The Booth at the End (Hulu show, but its amazing as well)

Overrated:
All forms of pawn stars and storage shows
American Idol (its so overrated I'm listing it again)
Teen Mom

Seinfeld and Family Guy are not overrated. Ive never seen any of your underrated shows lol

lol

Most people I know hate Family Guy. I stopped finding it funny at about the age 17 because the jokes were terrible. "Do you remember the time?" followed by a flash back that has nothing to do with anything.

And Seinfeld, omg lol. Jerry Seinfeld's stand up is the worst I've ever seen. When I say the opening of the show and he's on stage, I can't handle it. Plus, again... it's more random stuff that's pointless. Toilet paper in the bathroom or hoisting a cake up through a window. Making beef jerky and hanging it all over the apartment.

I don't know, there is no plot to those shows. I agree you won't find many people that think Seinfeld is overrated. Though, that's what makes it overrated because everyone builds it up to be great and I can think of 20 comedies I'd rather watch. But family guy, I can show you a bunch of people that think it's stupid. Most people turned on it over time because it's not very good.

I didn't finish reading all of your post yet so I might reply again but I'm so glad you said that about Reaper!

It's hard to find people that even watched the show because it was a rinky dink show on WB. Show was hilarious though!

Game of Thrones is the best show on TV. Irrelevant to the thread but I felt the need to drop in and say it.

One of my favorites.

Been saving the new season for later so far. I like to watch like 3 in a row rather than the suspense of waiting week to week lol.

I'm not much of an anime person but do think adventure time is alright. My reason for calling it overrated is that it blew up in the tween seen. Like 16 year olds are obsessed with it. It's rather popular but not as good as it's made out to be in my opinion. I do think it's alright though.

Seinfeld is literally, a show about nothing. Thats why there's no plot. Its just funny.

I like Family Guy but i felt that way about South Park, i stopped watching it in the 8th grade, probably about the 3rd season

Yeah, I kind of grew out of cartoons. I'll watch South Park but only because I always have. I don't think it's very good anymore. I do still like Futurama though and King Of The Hill(off the air). Um, Unsupervised was alright too and I'd probably watch Aqua Teen Hunger Force if it wasn't on in 15 minute intervals. It's impossible to keep up with.

Edit: I've never seen Archer but that's probably worth a watch. And I like Beavis and Butthead even though it's stupid. I didn't care much for Tosh's new one.

I don't blame you. And this season is the worst one for suspense.

The end of episode 4 is the best ending to a GoT episode yet.

I think Trailer Park Boys has to grow on you over time. The low quality is hard to watch at first but I liked the show in the end.

Ugh, yeah. Some shows are too suspenseful and constantly leave you with cliffhangers. The worst is when they draw the cliffhangers out. You think you'll find out in the next episode but it's like 3 more episodes before you find out. I watch shows like Game of Thrones, Dexter, Weeds, True Blood(I know smh lol), Burn Notice, Prison Break... and yeah, I hate waiting a week when something happens and you want to see the outcome. I was lucky not to get into Dexter until like season 2 or 3 and True Blood just a few months ago. Waiting week to week would have been horrible.

Entourage is not overrated.

The cast is nails on a chalk board for me. Jeremy Piven is the worst. I can't take Adrien Griner seriously after seeing Drive Me Crazy as a kid. He takes the cake for metro sexual. Matt Dillon is obnoxious and Kevin just looks like the one that got the bad end of the genes. Lastly, Kevin Connely lol... he was funny on Unhappily After. What happened to him after, I don't know.

I personally think pretty much "reality" anything is overrated. I don't watch any of it anymore.

Names I didn't notice that I think are underrated:
Firefly
Sledge Hammer
Sports Night
The Tick (animated) Silly, but made me laugh
Life

Never found scrubs or 30 rock to be entertaining in the slightest after having people watch and talk them both up as being epic.

Underrated:
Psych
Jeopardy
Wilfred
Boardwalk Empire (well-rated, but I think it's the best show on TV)

Overrated:
Almost any popular reality show
Any drama on network TV
Any sitcom with a laugh track or studio audience
Family Guy
