all reality shows - Kardashians, Real Housewives, Survivor, Real World, Bad Girls Club etc.


I'm sure if I watched CSI shows(NCIS, 24, Law and Order?), Grey's Anatomy, ER, Lost, Dr. Who, Gossip Girl, Desperate House Wives and all of that stuff I'd think those are overrated as well. I didn't like Bones, is that popular? If so, overrated. I was also tempted to throw in 30 Rock, Community and South Park but they're alright and I'm not sure Community is popular enough to be overrated.

Soo.... what shows do you think aren't as good as the popularity suggests and what shows don't get enough credit?

I agree with you whole list, except Seinfeld remove it and add Friends. IMO

One hugely underrated show is Shameless, if you haven't seen it, watch it. William H Macy is brilliant in it.

No Jerry, no! Cosby show is my favorite show ever. Friends is in no way overrated, neither is Family Guy, but that's been covered already in here

I loathe Bill Cosby as much as you love Phil. "Glad he got the win!" Lol Friends rarely made me laugh, and family guy well it's family guy.

Your overrated list is dumb in a few ways. You watch way too much tv mayne. I only recognized two of your underrated shows.

Well I take that back I recognize 3 of your underrated shows. I watched 2 episodes of carnivale. Seems right up your alley though.

Which 2 did you recognize? Insomnia is a beech, had it my whole life. Plenty of idle time on my hands.

Freeks and geeks is a great show. Justified I recognize, but never got into. And carnivale as stated above.

I have weird tastes. I own roughly 300 movies, half or more are Indy films. Maybe 10 action movies, my least favorite genre.

Very underrated show. Mad men has taken the spotlight for some reason, but I feel BB is the better show. I can't stomach anything John Hamm.

No; not my fault that the vast majority of bubble shows this season have female leads. Don't Trust the B had great chemistry between Ritter and JVDB, The Mindy Project does a surprisingly good job of featuring a quirky and neurotic primary character that isn't a MPDG and The Carrie Diaries is a wonderful representation of mid-80s NYC.

I plan on watching them someday. I'll probably buy a box set and do it that way. I can't stand Mad Men. For me Justified and Shameless are the best 2 shows on tv. Both well written and acted, rarely take a misstep.

... Breaking Bad is in no way, shape or form underrated. It's one of the most acclaimed shows on television and puts up great numbers for cable television.
