I could coach those 5* kids. They won championships without him. What goes up must come down.

You'd have to get them first. Too many people act like Bama football or UK bball recruit themselves. They do right now, because of the staffs who've made them what they are. Recruiting is part of a coach's job description and Saban and Kiffin do it better than just about anyone.

They don't need Kiffin to haul in great recruits. They did it before him.

Nick Saban built a powerhouse program. He could plug in any O or D coordinator at his point and have similar success on the field and on the recruiting trail.

Yes, he probably could but to act like Kiffin isn't a hell of a recruiter in his own right is naïveté or blind hatred. He's pulled and helped pull great talent everywhere he's been.

Yeah, because he was really taking the Trojans places when he got fired...

Like I said, if Bama drops two or three games this year, which is entirely possible, your Kiffy will go from loved to hated almost overnight. You've got an opening match you should win at a neutral site, but that's not a given. You have Ole Miss, LSU and Tennessee all on the road and you have Auburn which tends to be a toss up game in any given year.

GV, I may have misread, but I don't think bamawriter was giving the credit for winning the rings to kiffy, just saying he was on scali payroll while Bama was rolling them in....flame out or not (and I so hope he does), kiffy still pocketed millions of $ and multiple NC rings while at Bama. Of course I may be giving bamawriter a pass cause I think he's a pretty good poster...for a bama guy:).

And when does such a schedule not present itself in the west? So what? Bama just won a national title with the #1 SOS in the top 25.

The better barometer for future success is coaching, returning talent and recruiting prowess.

Sure, he can recruit, and we know that he has shady tendencies/tactics when doing so, but it doesn't matter how well you recruit if you can't do anything with the talent.

He talks a big game but he will never be a successful HC. He is riding Saban's coat tails.

Bottom line is the guy is a slime ball, I don't see why anyone would want to defend him for any reason. He's a liar, adulterer, and just an overall terrible person. He's proved that time and time again.

The only thing I give him credit for is being able to constantly fail upwards. I've never seen anything like it.

I apparently know how to lure out the Bama fans on the board.

Next time, just use the conventional method please.

Really? That's what's important to you? It's sad really.

Have fun continuing to live vicariously through the biggest tool in college football.

It is a close contest for 'biggest tool in college football'. Harbaugh is right there with Kiffin.

Right now I give the nod to Harbaugh because he has an open mic. Kiffin is limited to being a tool on social media only because Saban won't let him anywhere near a mic.
