Two concerning things about Heupel so far in his tenure here that bother me.

20 Wins in 2 seasons say he is right. What he has done in 3 years is amazing. Coach started with almost nothing. Some of you Vol fans are never satisfied.

Thank you for absolutely nailing this in less than 3 lines of text. Well done!

A lot of fans have the memory capacity of an elephant.

I have 2 as well..

1. The inability to fix the secondary.. how many coaches it is going to take ? We haven’t had a decent secondary since Micah Abernathys sophomore year ( think about that team) and still they weren’t that good

2. The random game fall apart. It’s happened every year and I don’t understand why we lose a game week 8 to mizzou or scar

I couldn’t agree more. The blind spot with Joe and loyalty to underperforming coaches is the 2 main concerns. I would also add the hesitancy to play underclassmen in certain positions is the other problem I notice.

I like CJH, but if Spurrier or Saban had Nico on the bench I feel almost certain that they would have figured out a way to get him meaningful snaps. Maybe even create a 2 QB scenario.
Lol. 2qb scenario?? That has literally never worked for anyone other than Spurrier.

Mizzou is literally better than Tennessee this year. Do you watch football?

Still too early to fire anyone.

Tim Banks is a mixed bag on whether he is an excellent DC or not cut out for it. At times, he looks like a defensive genius and others he has me scratching my head. I will say he is better than anyone we have had recently.

I personally do not support ANY COACHING changes right now. I think we are going in a positive direction.

I will say that we need to find ways to improve our defense, notably how to get off the field earlier. It seems to be a bend don't break defense in that teams don't score a lot on it but teams tend to keep their offenses on the field for long stretches due to those 3rd and long or 4th and long busts we have had through the Heupel era. This impacts the rhythm of our offense at times as well. If we can just stop half those 3rd and long conversions, we would be fine.

I still don't think all of the offensive problems were on Milton and I don't think Nico would have come out the gate being what he was against Iowa. I will say that we rolled our dice a little with Milton and it didn't work.
