Made a big jump on 247. Went from No. 456 overall to No. 175 overall in their regular rankings. Jumped like 75 spots in their composite score, too.

"Few prospects in the Lonestar State have had a stronger offseason than the East Texas speedster. Crawford has shown exceptional high-end speed on the track, posting multiple 10.6 second times in the 100 meters. Initially viewed as a running back or athlete prospect, Crawford is beginning to show considerable upside as a corner, building on his skill at the position from the fall into this offseason. The combination of rare top end speed along with the ball skills as a two-way player has us high on Crawford's upside as a defensive back. Crawford recently released a final three of Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas with the Longhorns holding the lone two picks in his Crystal Ball. – Charles Power"

"The move: From the three-star ranks to into the Top247, an initial placement inside the 180 range seemed appropriate for a player that has the speed and athleticism to be ranked even higher with senior film."

Four-star Friday: The rise continues for Conyers

yep. i'm sure they're a player...maybe more than either UT lol. still, it's interesting we're in that group. not sure how often we're 3rd when kids are considering TX or OU....not a normal recruiting battle for us. maybe that's our edge?

“Crawford is a prospect set to make his first visit to Tennessee this weekend, and the Texas native plans to come to a decision soon-after. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound athlete is just a 3-star, but Tennessee’s staff loves the John Tyler High playmaker. Crawford is a legit target high on the board at cornerback, with Derrick Ansley and Pruitt leading the recruitment. Texas, the presumed favorite, and Baylor are two of his other finalists, so we’ll see if Tennessee can move a real move this weekend.”

I figured, he looks a lot better at corner. I’m just itching for the staff to get in on a couple solid rbs. Been to quite with that position.
The N.Y. kid seems to be our best bet...hinging on Tank Bigsby.

I really like the build of that NY kid. Just looks like a SEC running back. Have a hard time not seeing him end up at a school like Ped State though.
If it’s the same guy I’m thinking about. Kinda looks like a slot receiver. Reminds me of Pig Howard.
