Literally 4 hours ago from the Darion Williamson thread. But 0 for 3 vs one other coach? Just calling it like it is. No need to be homers. We just need to turn the tables on that fool.
There are others but you ain’t gonna stop beating this horse regardless.Memphis was the first school to offer, but the Vols came on strong after Williamson’s camp performance and held off a charging Texas A&M team for Williamson’s commitment.
Agreed but some of these people need to get their heart off their sleeves. He chose a&m and it is what it is. We have a qb that has been getting looked at since he was 14 not the last couple of months and there are more pressing concerns needed than a qb at this time. We do not know how good he is just because of this guy says so or what. Good luck to the kid and he will find out what a pos he will be coached by. Texas kids 95 percent of the time Texas schools. My point is King’s aTm commitment seems to overshadow our commitment to a few folks in this thread.
He evaluated the situation and thought his odds of being the starter were better at aTm. Can't blame him for that. In a different scenario, UT would have been the likely choice. Mature decision. He's a good kid with a lot of talent-- wish him well.
King is the only QB aTm is taking in this class. and yea, we already have Bailey in teh fold here. automatic compeition if he comes here.
Not to mention Maurer is a bigger (by then more experienced) version of himself. Which may have played as much if not more of a role in his decision.IMHO, we are in good hands for the next several years at QB with JG, Bailey, Maurer. King would have been nice but this potentially saves the pain of a transfer (at least for now).
If he had been leaning very much TN and had backed off because Bailey came after, it would almost be an accurate description.Yeah afraid was a poor choice of words. At work, so... I just posted it and let it be lol
May I ask why that is? Is that in reference to Bailey, or is A&M's QB situation that much more favorable?
let's ride!Jake already answered... but aTm just looks to be a quicker path for King. Competition is healthy, but in the end, both guys want to win the job. Bailey is a long-time commit, will be on campus in January and has been working hard to transform his body for SEC play. Nutrition, weightlifting, gaining speed-- he's coming in ready. Not taking anything away from King-- it would be great to have them both.
