'20 TX QB Haynes King (TAMU Commit)

It shouldn’t be suprising. TX AM had advantage of distance and no committed QB. It was never going to end in TN despite him preferring our staff. Your just not going to pull a kid from their hometown when they have a similar proven offering next door. Once you win at elite level is when you pull those guys. You may lose the battles now but your building relationships in the area that can pay dividends down road when you are back among the elite

This is not a time for sound reason. No. In these times, we should be putting Pruitt and Chaney on notice and calling for Weinke’s head!

Stud QB's don't think like that. And despite what some of our fans think, UT's QB room is mediocre at best, with no depth right now, and needs major help. Which is likely what Chaney and Weinke are selling him, and likely why he's not concerned with another QB signing in his class. He knows JG is gone after this season leaving 2 guys that Chaney didn't recruit and whoever signs in 2020 class. Seems pretty appealing to a big time QB (or two) IYAM.
You’re not entirely accurate on your point. There is one QB in the room that Cheney did recruit. In fact hard enough that he publicly “shut down” his recruitment. Js
