Was there too. Really enjoyed the tailgate, went with an aggie alum to his official one, and game atmosphere was great. Yer fans are all respectful and welcoming for the most part. And very enthusiastic. Still a lot of very weird traditions and whatnot though. hahaI attended the game as well (I’m an Aggie). All the TN fans who went seemed to really enjoy their time at Kyle Field. You can get anyone on a message board. Actual fans to go to games are much different.
We invited many Tennessee fans to our tailgate, and had a great time.
Guy that posted the invitation on here? If so we missed each other. Met UT_Dutchman.Was there too. Agree. The downside to Duke has always been that if you played there as a QB it was thought that you’d be lucky to be noticed by NFL scouts. Cutliffe has changed that. Duke offers him a lot in terms of a future as an academic or athlete. I’d be surprised but I don’t think it’s impossible he lands there.Duke has a lot to offer for King.
Academic prestige and a recent QB drafted 6th overall. Not to mention Cut and a low pressure environment to succeed.
A weak ACC and probable bowl every year.
Duke is definitely a dark horse here.
No a friend of mine in Austin. I did stumble around to as many Vol tailgates as I could see close to the one I was at though. May have given a hello to any Vols i saw. Haha i told my buddy when a&m goes to Knoxville, in 84 years or however long the cycle is, we're going. I'm hoping to have a friend in the Vol navy by then. Never done that tailgate before.Guy that posted the invitation on here? If so we missed each other. Met UT_Dutchman.
As for Haynes King, the 4-star quarterback wraps up his official visit with Duke tomorrow. The Vols continue to like their chances here, but the Blue Devils remain a darkhorse option, and Texas A&M is pushing hard on staying in-state and the potential opportunities that presents post-playing career. The plan is for King and his family to marinate on a decision for the next week or so and then announce his college choice before attending the Opening Finals on June 28.
