'20 TX QB Haynes King (TAMU Commit)

10. Haynes King of Longview (Texas) frequently does not spin a pretty ball. That said, King is still accurate with his throws despite not being aesthetically appealing. King is quick with his drops and getting his feet set to throw.
Ranking the best of the Elite 11 QBs from Day 3

Don’t get enamored with these “writers” opinions. Luke Stampini is the writer of this piece who claims to be an “expert.” Quotes like “He frequently does not spin a pretty ball” and “throws aren’t aesthetically appealing.” LOL. These quotes are indicative of a guy who has never played, and obviously never saw Manning play. In watching all of King’s highlights, he can make all the passes based on what’s necessary to get a completion. He led his team to a Texas State Championship as a junior. On day 2, King was very impressive. Also on day 2, Bailey was off on many of his passes.

Both QBs are good. These 7on 7 events aren’t indicative of what they’ll be like when they’re facing a real SEC defense.. Who do I want? Both of them.

“Tennessee I’ve had the relationship with Coach (Chris) Weinke, Coach (Jeremy) Pruitt and Coach (Jim) Chaney for awhile,” King said. “They’ve aways been good to me since day one. It feels like a little welcoming deal like I kind of fit in at that place right there.

“A&M, Coach (Darrell) Dickey, Coach Jimbo Fisher, both of them have proven to be able to work with quarterbacks and develop them. That’s a place where I feel like I can have success there too

King plays for his father at Longview High. When asked if distance and logistics worked in the favor of Texas A&M he said “for the most part irrelevant. I don’t think that’s going to affect it.”
