TX QB Kaidon Salter (Liberty signee)

Why is this even up as an argument?

I dont think this offense will ever be dynamic. Jermy app wants a game manager. Enter Bailey.

If HB fixes his deep ball accuracy, then he's pushing the ball downfield just as well as Shrout, without (so far) the mental lapses. Not sure how hard that is to fix, but he doesn't seem far from being an explosive player.

How can you say HB is just a game manager at this level two games into his freshman year? It’s pathetic how many people have written Bailey off already.
I have to agree, here. HB has shown he can be explosive. He’s not really been given much a chance at it. Outside of him overthrowing some deep passes, he’s been solid for a true freshman

why does game manager have a negative connotation? if anything, he's the exact opposite to what a 5th yr Sr could not do.

The very hesitations Jermy espoused continually all year about protecting HB were shown to be assurd.

HB has all arm needed, throws catcheable ball, but more importantly has the awareness to do small things like line the **** up.

wait. let me explain. A first year frosh is light years beyond a 5th yr senior & 3rd yr soph.

he is the future.

my comments were predicated on 1) this offense 2) why the hell he sat 3) Jermy

Oh, I agree with 2 & 3. Whatever Pruitt's selection criteria is for starting QB, he needs to throw it out the window, or it'll be what gets him fired, if it's not already too late. I still think Chaney wants to sling it around the yard, which would be an exciting offense, but maybe it's just wishful thinking at this point.

I would rather keep Chaney than aforementioned

Start Bailey who is completing over 70% of his passes. Salter as backup.
The world will see how good Bailey is on Saturday if Pruitt will leave him in the game, which he won't. I like that Bailey gets through his progressions. He's just got to learn to get through them a little faster. A bunch of live reps would help with that...

Bailey was able to build some confidence Saturday throwing downfield. He will only improve as he gets the reps. I could see him making some plays on Saturday and giving us all something to look forward to next season.
He’s a stud. With a real offense, he can win a lot of games for us.

As far as Bailey is concerned, he doesn’t have shrouts arm talent (yet). He is also far from physically filled out in a sense of muscle, a lot of baby fat to still replace with muscle which will improve his velocity in due time and could develop a stronger arm. Regardless he has the arm to fit the ball in tight windows on the intermediate routes but probably not 30 yards downfield just yet.

You can tell he's not a ''hard gainer''. Another year in the strength & conditioning program and he will look re-vamped.
