Salter's escapabilty is greater than Dobbs, and his arm strength is at least equal to everyone named.

My original comment wasn't a knock on Dobbs. It was an observation from watching film on both at the same stage. You can't compare Dobbs at his best in college, to a high school Junior.

People underestimate his speed because he ran so smoothly he looked like he was gliding and somehow he shook people while gliding. He was unreal. I wouldn't say that. Dobb's took msny squared up hits in his time here. One of the reasons he put the ball on the ground more than a QB should.

Dobbs carried it way more than a qb should. Many games he was most of the offense. I remember one game where he had over 100 yards rushing against Alabama and the whole offense didn’t have much beyond what he produced- he was the rushing offense that day. He loved to play - great ambassador for UT.

He is very poised and comfortable in the pocket - he can extend plays and either find a late breaking receiver or scramble and run - this is correct. He appears very talented - Rivals needs to give him a fourth star.

Great post and 100 percent true. Once Dobbs got past the secondary no one caught him. I think he would have excelled as a WR too. Would have probably gone high in the draft at that position. Without Dobbs Butch would have been gone 2 years sooner.

That’s true regarding butch jones tenure here. Dobbs saved his job for sure. Don’t know about his ability at wr. He has lasted a lot longer in the league than I thought. Isn’t 5 years the cutoff for nfl pension?

4 or 5 years sounds correct. I hope he makes it long enough to get it for sure. The reason I said he would be good at WR is the fact that all QB's have good, soft hands. Dobbs is about 6' 3" and 220 pounds, so he has the size and is a match-up problem for smaller corners. He can also make people miss in the open field and has break-away speed so he would be a deep threat. We'll never know though and he has kept a job in the NFL at QB.

Rivals put out an article about a week and a half ago highlighting players that could receive bumps and he was on it. I'm not sure when they will release those but they said "next week" in the article.
