Very true. I think DTs have been favored around here because we've had more bad o-lines than good, so our only successful QB lately has been Dobbs. But despite recent pass blocking struggles, our O-lines (year by year) are starting to get to a place where a pure pocket passer can survive and thrive.Look at what Mac Jones is doing. He isn’t a DT QB either. Neither is Kyle Trask. Both are lighting it up. You do not have to have a DT QB. You just have to have a great OL, WRs, TEs, RBs and a QB who is really good with decisions.
Half the sacks and pressures are do to JG’s inabilities to see the window and throw on time... sometimes I wonder if Pruitts protect the ball at all cost has mentally damaged the kid to the point of holding on to the ball to be absolutely sure the wr is open. Just in time for a defender to realize it and close in for a break up or pick.Very true. True. Hes also probably mentally damaged from previous bad O-lines too though lol. "Half"? Where did you come up with that?Half the sacks and pressures are do to JG’s inabilities to see the window and throw on time... sometimes I wonder if Pruitts protect the ball at all cost has mentally damaged the kid to the point of holding on to the ball to be absolutely sure the wr is open. Well if I’m accounting for half the sacks in his career then I stand by my statement. Not just talking about this year. This year he would do well to learn how to step up in a pocket every once in awhile instead of dropping back and standing there."Half"? Where did you come up with that?
Realize his release is 2.31 seconds this year.
Fwiw yes you're probably close in years past when he was near bottom of the league in release time. This year he has gotten bumrushed a number of times. He hasn't held on for 3-4+ seconds much at all.
