I just got to thinking. I loved watching Hurd for the Vols... imagine if we had Pruitt instead of Butch. Hurd would have killed folks if he didn’t have to do that little read-option dance every play. Pruitt would have gone power formations and wore some teams down....

I know there are plenty of Hurd haters here, and I don’t want to start that conversation again. I’m just pondering how good he’d been if he had our current coach. Would probably be a starting RB in the League

Dobbins at OSU looked like a slow, uninspired player his first couple years. This past year he became a completely different player and might be a first rounder. I’m hoping chandler does something similar. He’s got the talent

Dobbins is so far superior to Ty Chandler. It's not even close. Dobbins power and stiff arm is Top3 in the upcoming draft. All Chandler needs is 30 more TDs this season to tie what Dobbins did in 3 years.

Pointing out that he's immature and a head case is wildly different than predicting his future and assuming that he'll flame out and be a cancer. Just because he's handling his recruitment in an immature way doesn't mean he wont grow up and be an asset to his future team.

Dobbins plays in a much more RB friendly offense. Urban’s power spread always has productive backs.

Dobbins wasn’t projected as a round 1 running back until this past year. More of a 3rd rounder. Yes he was productive, but he wasn’t nearly the player he was this past season. Plus I’m not saying they’re comparable players. I just hope Ty has a similar rise. Going from being undrafted to like 3rd round

They seem like different runners. I think Dobbins and Gray have pretty similar running styles. I hope we use Chandler more as a slot/jet sweep/option-pitch guy this year. He just has to regain his confidence.
