'20 TX RB Zachary Evans

That would be insanely amazing...3 5* transfers in 1 offseason. Just not sure it can happen now. Last Rivals said we just had 1 spot.

At one point, in December, we had a max possibility of 27 spots...I think that possibility is gone now.
Actually I'll hedge this a little. Forgot that JTD has never OV'd here. If he doesn't, then maybe he can fit along with ZE.

ZE is priority even with Brown. Gray is nice and Brown would be too. But Evans is a level above.

And a strong run game helps a pass game.

Hats off to VFL Tim Jordan and Ty Chandler but they don’t strike fear in Defensive Coordinators.
I agree with most of this, but a healthy 8 does have that speed and pop to be effective. But ZE would be the #2 or even 1a once he learned to pass block.

The QB room is stuffed and I see nothing that leads me to think Daniels unseats JG or HB or even BM. But Tee knows the kid and may be banging the table. I just think ZE is better for the long run.

correct, and someone could be politely asked to leave... there's a way to make the numbers work, but it may make some folks angry...

I’m a big fan of if it ain’t broke don’t fix it
I was a big fan of the old longhorn wishbone attack where they knew they were going to get four yards every single time. There's no way for a fancy offense to beat that.

Hard to beat with so much misdirection
The place the triple option has failed traditionally is in trying to replace old fashioned straightaway blocking and a smash mouth running attack with too much fancy stuff. Yes the toss sweeps are entertaining, but the real bread and butter is running the fullback three fourths of time and having a fullback that can handle that workload behind extremely will conditioned offensive lineman.

You just don’t see that anymore 🤷‍♂️ It’s all high octane throw it down the field and put up points offenses now

Everybody hates the triple option, but I think it would still work as long as you aren't using it to cover up weakness.
