Then you can take out the middle sentence of UGA. Plenty of articles and stories I’m not going to rehash for both suspensions. This is the UGA side of the story Rusty. According to the Evans camp, he signed under the impression that he could early enroll at Georgia. He was then told he could not by Kirby.
This kid has been all over the place so who knows but that part is definitely out there too.
Texas was after him and was extremely disappointed they didn't even make his top 5 back in May. As well as many other top programs.Fine, be we've signed 3 RBs this cycle.
Texas couldn't?
My question is where is FSU, or Or OU, Alabama, Clemson??
No one's after this kid...
Highly-coveted Houston North Shore running back Zachary Evans, the nation’s top-ranked overall recruit, released a list featuring his top five programs on Tuesday evening, and the Texas Longhorns fairly surprisingly find themselves on the outside looking in.
Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, and Oklahoma are the final five teams fighting for Evans’ services, he announced on Twitter.
A long-time priority prospect for Texas head coach Tom Herman, associate head coach and running backs coach Stan Drayton, and to an extent, the entire Longhorns staff, Evans received an offer from the Horns in-person prior to his sophomore season, and has remained a high-priority prospect ever since. Evans reciprocated that interest, making numerous trips to the Forty Acres throughout the 2018 calendar year, and returning this offseason. Unsurprisingly, the Longhorns were considered a team in a prime position to land a prospect on pace to headline the entire 2020 class, per the 247Sports Composite, but, at least for the moment, that’s certainly not the case.
“It’s just … you don’t know how to put it,” Evans told 247Sports’ Chris Hummer of his decision to exclude the Longhorns from his top list. “I don’t want to be disrespectful. I ain’t saying (Texas) can’t win a natty. It’s just at the moment [Texas is] not quite there. You beat Georgia but you barely beat Georgia. What about when it comes to a Bama or go to a Clemson?
”Texas is a good school, they coming up,” Evans added. “It’s just ... I don’t know.”
Now on the outside looking in with Evans, who was among Texas’ most important targets in recent memory, where do the Longhorns go from here?

Longhorns miss the cut for top-ranked recruit Zachary Evans
saw a longhorn fan post on another board that his handler is a vols fan, so take that however you will
Buck?

IMO he'd be worth the risk because if it pays off it could be HUGE, and if not and he's a cancer to the team, coaches should just kick his ass to the curb, but I feel like Pruitt has the right personality type to handle a kid like thisAnother weird interview by this kid imo.
"Texas barely beat UGA, so I can't really see them getting to the Natty."
Yet he signs with UGA???
WTF hahah?
Texas has QB issues like we do. That's what's mainly holding them back.
Anyway...I don't know about this kid.
I feel like we filled the need at RB and Dixon would be a super nice addition as a playermaker if he transfers here.
I'm good with whatever happens here. I don't really know the kid...
Fine, be we've signed 3 RBs this cycle.
Texas couldn't?

Sleegro posted an article showing Texas was after him aggressively .My impression is that Texas did want the kid early on, and there were a lot of pissed off Longhorn fans when Texas didn't make his top 5, but the longer things have gone on and the circus develops around him, they are fine with Bijan, and may add another lower ranked RB on NSD. The fact that those other programs you mention aren't pursuing him says something as well.
FSU isn’t better than GA -Evans
OU doesn’t run the ball do they? Lol
Bama and Clemson both have 5*’s this year
Not that any of those are legit answers but if I was a recruit id look at those factors, but hey maybe he is a head case and no one wants him![]()
Lot of people lost interest for this to not be some type of attitude/character issueThat's the thing....i can't make that assessment because maybe the kid isn't as bad as he seems? He hasn't pulled a Jeremy Banks yet, and mouthed off to the cops.
Maybe he's not hothead like Bryce Thompson either. Banks, Thompson, and Jennings were all Hotheads! And yeah, Pruitt is veru good with those types. Probably most types period. He was an elementary school teacher after all...
I do admire his forthright way of speaking. Keeps it real so to speak. Evans i mean.
At the same time WHAT he says throws me for a loop haha.
I have no clue what Texas' RB situation currently looks like. If Evans wanted in they'd absolutely take him, but I assume they didn't go all in on him since they had Robinson.Fine, be we've signed 3 RBs this cycle.
