'20 TX RB Zachary Evans

I'm kind of ok with this. I'm not sure I really want this kid on our team. Team mindset is a very delicate thing and one player really can mess it up. We've got some great momentum going into next season with kids who've got good heads on their shoulders, why risk that?
I would tend to agree with this if Evans was a wideout or tight end, because those positions rely on another player getting them the ball. I think that’s why you see most of the “head cases” tend to be wide receivers in my opinion. With Evans being a RB he has more control over his production. Especially with that OL we are going to trot out the next few years. Just wishful thinking on my part lol. The thing that worries me more than anything about this kid is that interview with him basically saying he doesn’t really care/like football all that much. Seems like if you don’t have that passion summer practices, the weight room, etc would be torture if your heart isn’t in it.

Basically selfish, self centered "me first..second..and third" type of guy who was very corrosive to the program. Nothing hard evidence wise, but it is widely known and accepted that he was a complete cancer, and his negative effect on the Tennessee locker room far outlived his time at UT. I personally believe Fulmer bringing him in, and more guys like him in was the beginning of the long downfall into the abyss.
Probably, but u do have to give Washington a little credit for adapting in the NFL, where he was no longer the alpha Dog. He seemed to mature and hang in the League for close to 10 years, even primarily as a special teams player the last couple. Did he get a ring with the Patriots ?

What was this board like when UT landed Brown?
Pretty much melted down. I think there were three Royce Brown threads from the time the board first got word. And his recruitment lasted into March (I think) and it was one of the worst would he/wouldn’t he threads and it makes some of the threads like Washington’s and Hardy’s look like Twitter posts.

Nah, Ricky Williams was a head case from Texas who cared more about other “stuff” than football and his Heisman says he turned out ok..
5 star RB’s may touch the ball 20-30 times a game so he is a much bigger take than a 5 star tight end who touches the ball 5 times a game..... The only question with this guy is if he’s actually considering the Vols....

What he did in the league is totally irrelevant to what I said however..anyways it is ancient history at this point.
