Tyler Baron

I don't get on here much at times. Anyone know the reason he transferred? He sure did look like a beast today vs UF. I wish
the VOLS stil lhad him!!!

I wondered the same thing today.

My guess is that he and his brother thought they could do better elsewhere. Probably a combination of NIL, wanting to be the best edge rusher on the field, and not having to split as much playing time.

I cannot believe that anyone pushed him away because he’s good.

I heard he was a locker room cancer and Huepel elected to let him walk rather than get him more money
Not really. I wouldn’t say cancer. He’s tried to leave a couple of times and been talked down. His father was on staff at one point and then let go. I think with the emergence of West and some others it just wasn’t that critical to bring him back. Went to Ole Miss something went down there with the money; went to Louisville some crap went down there as well. Handler was rumored to be involved and Brohm was over it; Baron also had some injury issues there. Ended up at Miami then.

He’s a good player but you shouldn’t have to rerecruit a player every single year. Eventually when you hit the portal they’re gonna let you go.

Tyler Baron transferred to Louisville from Tennessee. He got in trouble with 2 other players for bragging in the locker room about their NIL deals and causing problems. He then went to Miami. At one time Baron was transferring to Ole Miss, but cancelled that move and stayed at Tennessee. Good player but sounds like a “head case”, lol.

IDK anything about his family or upbringing, but he grew up in Knoxville and, presumably, grew up a Vol fan. Even if not, I am sure that he made a tough decision for his future.

Tennessee>Ole Miss>Louisville>Miami all in one year, I doubt he makes it through the season at Miami.
