What everyone needs to understand is that for guys this young especially, the recruiting services are assigning stars primarily based on how heavily a player is being recruited. If UGA, Bama, OSU are all pursuing a guy - 247 and On3 are 100% going to list them as a 5-star. They don’t do that to show favoritism or anything. They do it because their rankings are judged by how successful 5-star players become, and if a player is being recruited by the best - he’s likely headed to the NFL. There are other great players out there tho. UGA & Bama can’t recruit them all. I just hope our staff can identify talent because right now most of our DBs look the same and it’s not the look of an NFL player.

Oh and I see you put in the juvenile, why don’t you find another team. You are pathetic. Sorry that some of us want the absolute best players to come to Tennessee. You know what? Scratch that, I am not sorry. I want TN to recruit on the Bama/UGA/OSU level. I want TN to be signing these big time 5* that teams like Bama and UGA use to beat us every year. If you don’t want TN to sign the best players and to be the best then maybe you aren’t a good fan.

I am not going to criticize and athlete for wanting to come to Tennessee.

All right. Same caliber of players UT currently has. Great.

Wonder if he knows that when playing zone you actually have to match up and cover the guy who runs through your zone.

Jalin Hyatt was a 3-star. Talent evaluation is more critical. The recruiting services are more "followers" than leaders. If they see Saban or Kirby wants someone, they get instantly upgraded. Heupel has had a pretty good track record thus far.

Plus, as I said earlier, they tend to be stingier with the ratings 2 classes out. They'll start upping the ratings for players after the '24 class closes up. Offer list is more important.

Eric Berry would be a horrible coach. That’s like my dad with a mechanical engineering Masters trying to teach me algebra in 8th grade. Too much talent to get down to the level of teaching other.

You seem to think you're the only one in Vol land that wants 5*'s. I'm sure no one recruiting 5*'s are not turning them away but you can't force them to commit. Not sure what you expect our staff to do that is not being done now to get all the 5*'s we can

Skinny kid but not afraid to stick his nose into the action. Plus, he actually looked back for the ball several times. What a breath of fresh air. Wonder if Martinez will coach that out of him?
