AnchorDown is a stupid, yet for Vandy appropriate cheer.

Navy uses Anchors Aweigh, meaning the anchor has cleared the bottom and the ship can move forward.
Vandy uses Anchor Down, meaning the ship cannot move forward. Which for Vandy works but seems like a self defeating cheer.

Its always something when they lose. Never their fault. Refs screwed up several calls in that game, both ways. Yet VU fans fail to realize that if he does make the catch they still have to score.

That was a terrible call - should have been PI.

Should've stopped South Carolina and not let them run out the clock. There was plenty of time on the clock and the 'Dores had all 3 timeouts.

Considering UT's football status right now, these Vandy threads are pretty funny. UT has no right to laugh at Vandys current program (based on records). I'm pretty sure it was UT last place last year in the east. Pot meet kettle.

That all being said, I don't like Vandy either. I think both vandy and uscjr suck. But seriously, vandy losing wasn't helping UT at all.

And what truth? Tennessee went through 3 coaches in 3 years and have had their worst stretch ever. They still continue to beat Vanderbilt.

Sure am glad we have you here to put Tennessee fans in their place though. Why are you here again? From what I can tell, most people here don't like you and yet it doesn't deter you from posting more than a lot of our fans. I probably posted 50 times the other day and always post a ton in game threads during the season and you still average 20+ posts to my 15. Pretty sad, dude.

Usually your argument is weak when you just start to insult the other person. The thread has nothing to do with me, and how much I post. I post a lot, so what? I'm sure the normal rational people have no problem reading what I write. It's the homerish UT fans like you that have the problems. If you can't even take someones opinion and at least consider what they say, then that's just stupid.

I pointed out that UT has no right to criticize Vandys program right now. No denying UT has had a much better program overall, but right now, not a lot of difference. UT will get good again, I'm sure of it. But right now, let's focus on strengthening UT than wasting all our time tearing others down.

To comment on on much I post: I posted a lot during the basketball season on game threads (duh). I also post a lot in the Endzone. You tend to get a lot of posts in there really quickly.

Because your post wasn't condescending what so ever. You come to a Tennessee forum and throw it in our faces that the team finished last. You then proceed to say stuff like "You have no right to insult Vandy" and "I pointed out that UT has no right to criticize Vandys program right now". Who are you say what anybody has the right to say?? Let alone opposing fans on their forum. I'll be sure to join a Kentucky forum just to point out that Calipari has been stripped of wins everywhere he has gone and with the Noel stuff coming up, odds would suggest it will happen again. I'm sure that would fly really well, don't ya think? It would just be stating a fact.

Going to another teams forum and telling them what they have the right to say is ridiculous. Especially when you make backhanded remarks in the process.

I have no problem with you going to a UK forum and posing things. It's free speech. And they're all crappy forums so I'm pretty sure your posts would fit right in if you went there.

I'm not asking people to stop criticizing Vandy. I laugh just as much as the next guy at a program being terrible. I'm a UK fan, I have to be able to laugh at failure. Feel free to post these things. I was just pointing out how UT doesn't really have the right to criticize Vandy considering last year. Does that mean I hate UT? No. Does that mean I'm just a Vandy/UK troll? No. Just pointed out my opinion on the subject. Sure, I criticized UT fans for criticizing Vandy. Big deal.If you don't like what I said, just ignore me. I have no problem with that.

My bad then. Just seems like we've had more rival fans talking crap than normal as of late and it's gotten old.

Also, you should check out Vandymania. I don't post there but I lurk from time to time and they talk crap about Tennessee constantly. If Tennessee shouldn't be bashing Vanderbilt than Vanderbilt definitely shouldn't be insulting Tennessee. Tennessee had a worse record last season but they also played with a back up for half the season and played a tougher schedule. When they beat Vanderbilt, Tyler Bray had a broken thumb. Aside from the fact that Tennessee's back ups to Bray were terrible last season, Vanderbilt played Elon, Army(3-9), Ole Miss(2-10), Kentucky(5-7) and Uconn(5-7) at home last season. They also played Wake Forest(6-7). Those were all 6 of their wins too. It's not as if finishing a game ahead of Tennessee is anything to write home about.

You're going to find people talking crap about other teams, it's the nature of the beast. All forums do it, even fans of bad teams. But at least someone like me for instance, does it on our teams forum. I don't go to their forum talking crap.

I wasn't trying to tear Tennessee down. If you know me then you'd realize I support UT just like all of you do. A lot of my extended family lives in Tennessee or just prefer them over Kentucky. I grew up having Kentucky/Tennessee shoved down my throat. I chose Kentucky as the school I mainly support and Tennessee the second. I'm just as frustrated how the Vols are right now. If I came off as trying to simply tear UT down, then sorry. I like the Vols, why else would I be here? I wasn't trying to talk crap. Just a little tough love toward the vols.

Nice to meet you.
