Ok, we should inform the writer of the article that headline should instead be:

"U.S. Capitol Pagan Tree Pays Homage to Obama—But Not Jesus"

So the media sets our social standards now? I thought that only worked for the weak of mind.

You do understand why the Christians allowed the pagans to keep their traditions, yes? Because the Christian myth was not convincing enough for them to leave that stuff behind...negotiated salvation? or, simply a play for earthly power by the Christians?

You should put that on an ornament and hang it from your pagan tree.

Lol, everything about a Christmas tree is pagan. The gifts, the ornaments... it totally has the feel of an altar.

This thread is enlightening. I'm going to sacrifice a goat in front of mine tonight and hang it's charred skull from the top. It would look great right above my Obama ornament.

I'm glad to learn that I can now justify my annual orgies in front of my christmas tree to family members.

trUT,

Many historians accept the existence of Jesus. It's possible to believe that he lived without believing in his divinity.

Many historians do not accept his historical existence, also. Earliest written words re: Jesus are from Saul of Tarsus which were penned starting in 50 AD. There are no Roman Records which confirm any of the stories surrounding Jesus, to include the Crucifixion. At the time, Jerusalem was an advanced and learned community and there were plenty of historians around. If Palm Sunday was such a monumental event in Jerusalem, why nothing? Two men are raised from the dead, Lazarus and Jesus...silence.

The earliest non-Christian accounts re: Jesus come in the 2nd Century and only refer to the writings already penned (the Gospels) and the strange persons who believe in this strange story.

I never said there weren't more important issues. This forum is littered with threads about them - and they are mostly filled with examples of how retarded Obama is. If you want me to start a thread with more examples, I certainly will. You should thank me that I started a thread that gives you the ability to defend him without looking like the brain dead legion that most of defenders are.

"brain dead legion"

Good name for a band, imo.
