I guess when Russia intercepted one of our planes that was the retaliation for this incident. Seems like Russia does something like this every time we act against Syrian Forces.

Kind of like the Black Sea over flight of one of our destroyers last year.

I still liked my idea for a response better. Find a lone Russian Navy ship and low fly it with a B-1B or two. Kinda a waste of jet fuel, but the results would certainly be worth it.

Flyby diplomacy.

Or just land a C-5 on their ONLY aircraft carrier..Navy defeated since that c-5 will never fly again.

Don't know if you're familiar with said bomber, but the diplomacy would be pretty darn loud.

The thing could rattle the filings out of your teeth.

B1B is the loudest aircraft I have ever heard outside of a shuttle launch. That bad boy is packing 4 f-15 engines.

I'm a big proponent of the "don't **** with us" actions as preferred to words or even ignoring it. Overflights of naval vessels after someone has been poking the hornets nest is a gentle reminder of global reach, global power. (Sorry for the cliche phrase)

I wouldn't have a problem with this if we were in Syria legally...

We are beaking international law, supporting terrorist fighting to oust a democratically elected leader, and now policing deconfliction zones by bombing govt troops...

No wonder ISIS is still a problem...

U.S. Navy shot down a Syrian Regime Aircraft after it attempted to conduct an air strike in the de-confliction zone.

Raise your hands if you want America to get more deeply involved in the Syrian war?

Who allows the US to police the skies in someone else's country?

Well if Assad and your buddy Comrade Putin weren't dropping dumb bombs on civilian population this wouldn't be a problem. But with Assad and Putin's forces being the uncivilized douche bags they are U.S. air superiority is necessary.

And it should be known that the U.S. and Coalition forces have killed more ISIS fighters than the Assad Regime and the Russians. The Russians seem too busy accidentally calling IDF on their own positions and getting their camps overrun by ISIS to actually fight.

Yes. Let's watch Syria and Iran.

Let's not worry about the coast guard searching a ship off the coast of South Carolina for a dirty bomb...
