UAB is Back!

UAB continues home winning streak - 14-0 at home since returning to football.

3-0 on the year; first time they've started 3-0 since moving to D1 bowl sub.

Clark is the real deal as a coach.

I’m pretty conflicted about the game vs Tennessee this year. Pruitt really can’t afford to lose games like that anymore but I really want to see my school beat a power 5 team

I look at it like this - if UT's season is already down the tubes then the upside of the win for UAB is greater than the downside of the loss for UT. Now if it was the difference between UT getting to .500 or not then I'd lean Vols

Bunch of idiot boosters complaining about the new stadium design and presenting their own plans for the design (neither of them has any experience or knowledge of stadium design). It's not even UABs stadium but these morons are trying to stop the project unless it gets redesigned to fit what they think it should be.

Boosters to UAB or the BoT stepping in again?

These are legit boosters. They've gone nuts though. Don't see either of them being connected to the Board and both worked to bring back UAB. They have good intentions but they are being completely unrealistic and most of the fan base is tired of their efforts to delay the stadium.

I’d lean Vols based on talent. I’d lean UAB based on what each “talent” has done this year.

Does coaching and player talent win? Or will regression by one and improvement by another prevail.......who knows?

Hopefully the higher talent will improve if that happens it will be a Vol win (again for me that’s a huge “if”).

do you know what they are pushing? bigger stadium? or just trying to get it to be UABs stadium? I am completely unfamiliar with the situation.

The design has 31 rows on the West side and 60 on the east (includes an upper deck). Their beef is that corporate suites start after Row31 on the West side and thus they are stealing the best seats in the stadium. They want the design flipped so the corporate suites etc are on the East side (the side that will be in the sun) and the upper deck will be on the West side.

The design is for a 45K seat stadium (and it looks fantastic). The West side will have capacity for nearly 15K. It will be plenty.

They also think the stands are too far from the field. The went to city council with a bunch of photoshopped versions of what they want it to look like.

One guy is a lawyer and one own's a restaurant - neither has any experience in stadium design. The design was proposed by one of the global leading stadium design firms but these idiots think they know better.

When I said lean I meant who I'd pull for not who I thought would win. UT should win; there are scenarios where I'll pull for UAB

Sounds like some Tennessee big money boosters are moonlighting as UAB boosters.

What’s amazing about Clark is he takes the 2017 team to a bowl after a two year hiatus.

I have a fear that Alabama will hire him away when Saban retires. I’m not sure what other jobs other than Auburn he’d leave for. He’s coached his entire career in Alabama and grew up in Piedmont. He doesn’t strike me as the type to jump for the next best offer

Yeah, hard to say. He's moved quite a bit but all in state. He's a program builder so I wonder if he'll get tired after his work at UAB. On the other hand, I can see him being one of those long time dynasty coaches. Anywhere but Bama. Honestly, UT is the type of rebuild job he's good at. He's learned a ton about politics and boosters and getting support. If he leaves somebody will be getting a winner.

Where is the new stadium supposed to be located in town?
