UCLA @ #1 Oregon

UCLA needs more than a FG here.

Edit: Didn't even get that. Awful under throw to a wide open guy. Just bad.

Could he have possibly floated that ball out there any slower?

About to call it a night. I'm heading out if Oregon goes up 14-0. UCLA's defense looks like crap and their QB looks even worse.

90 Yards. 1:56. 7 Points.

Impressive. Would be more impressive if they didn't go for it on 4th and 6th. Watching Oregon's offense is like playing NCAA on Xbox.

Still waiting for them to play a legit defense. Will be interesting. Oklahoma averaged 50 points a game and set the NCAA single season record. They scored 14 against Florida.

There are probably less than a handful of defenses that could stop them this year though. Maybe only 1... 2... 3? Not many. Down year in football. May be Oregon's year. Unfortunately... :p

UCLA's defense looked a tad bit lost on that drive. I loved the 4th down play where they decided it would be best to leave the Heisman candidate wide open.

Defense hasn't been the Pac 10's forte this year. Offense on the other hand... they love offense.

We go for it more times on 4th then we punt. Seriously. That's always been Chip's style, it's borderline like that HS coach that doesn't believe in punting under any circumstances.

With the the style of offense they play and the players they field... might as well. If you're assuming you have 4 plays, it gives you more flexibility in play calling.

It will definitely be interesting if it comes down to playing a top defense. They'll most likely beat anyone in a shootout. The question is, do they fall like the Vikings, Patriots and Sooners or do they go the distance like the Rams?

Defense usually prevails. Offense can though. Will definitely be interesting.

Wow... I already didn't like Chip Kelly. He has officially put himself in the Lane Kiffin category. Sorry NightOwl, you seem cool. I'm officially cheering against Chip the rest of the season.

We go for two if they give us a numbers advantage on the XP. They gave us a numbers advantage.

Swinging gate formation. Another something we do often. We line up in it and always go for 2 when they don't match up correctly. Early. Late. Big lead. Behind. Whatever.

But I see what your saying.

How often do they go for two?

Oregon will probably win this ball game but if they ever face a team that runs the ball directly at them for 4 quarters, they are in trouble.

OCs panic and try to get into shootouts with them.
