How often do they go for two?
Posted via VolNation Mobile
Yep. At the start of our game against them, some of the holes that Poole had to run through were ridiculous.Oregon will probably win this ball game but if they ever face a team that runs the ball directly at them for 4 quarters, they are in trouble.
OCs panic and try to get into shootouts with them.
Apparently UCLA didn't get the memo.Teams are getting used to the swinging gate. We used to do it almost every game. Now the % of going for it is starting to drop. We did at last week @Wazzou too and against NM. I think teams are starting to know it's what we do and prepare for it since the decision to go for it is totally based on how the D lines up against the formation.
It would be interesting to see if a Oregon's O would get cold/out of rhythm if they played a team that could run the ball and have long drives consistently. It's definitely the best matchup against our D. But Oregon seems to think that they can simply outshoot any team that tries it.
