Machida has said this week he will consider dropping to 185 in the future. However, he also said he has no interest in fighting Anderson (which is a bummer).

I will be interested to see what he weighs in at tomorrow. He only weighed 201 for his last fight against Bader. If he comes in light again, I don't think cutting to 185 will be too difficult.

Tonight! I don't know how I feel about a couple of sandwich makers fighting though. I've heard they can fight so we'll see. Hopefully they beat each other up real nice.

I'm still torn on Henderson and Machida. I wouldn't mind seeing Hendo win but I just can't wrap my mind around the idea that he could beat Jones. I don't think anyone can at the moment but if someone were going to, I wouldn't put it past Machida. For that reason, I guess I have to pull for La Femme Machida. Don't tell him I said that...

Why do you think he'd drop if not for a title fight? To wait around for Silva's retirement before becoming the champ? Hasn't there been rumblings of Silva retiring after two maybe three more fights? And wasn't it him that said something about stepping away for a year? I know Dana talked about Silva fighting GSP and Jones. Right now they're in talks of Silva fighting Weidman.

@ BadJerry

Thinking back on our past conversation, what odds do you give me against Rousey?

If you stand you might be alright, you have what 70lbs on her? So take downs are gonna be tough for her, and her stand up is a work in progress. Go to the ground and she's probably taking your are with her. On a side note if you punch.that pretty face, I will be forced to kill you. :)

I know Shogun beat Machida, but I think Machida is the better fighter. Is that the consensus or no? I may just be judging that on how they fared against Bones.

I'd take Machida now, the thing with Shogun is he can't stay healthy. Plus I think Machida poses the bigger threat to Jones.

I've seen Rousey fight 4 times, expect little striking and possibly a broken arm. I think Machida wins. I like both guys, gonna be hard for Hendo to drop that big bomb with Machidas movement. Lawler has a great chin, great power, and terrible wrestling. Which is weird cause he's a Hughes guy. He does make an exciting fight, my guess is he has very little room for error or the UFC will cut him. Jmo

Silva signed a 10 fight deal recently, didn't he?

Yeah, but I would be surprised if he fulfilled the entirety of that contract.

I agree with TOP that it doesn't make much sense to drop unless it's with the intentions of getting a title shot. Maybe he knows more about Anderson's plans than most others do?

I agree, I don't see him fighting 10 more times. My guess is Anderson doesn't have a set number of fights. But who knows, dude definitely doesn't appear to be slowing down. Of course age can catch up to you pretty fast sometimes.

Liked that prelim fight a lot.

Kept looking like the buzzed headed dude was going to go down but he stayed on his feet. He was taking some shots as he wobbled around and his the expression on his face looked like that of a guy who was about to crumple.
