he got his ass whipped. Watched it again. And that doesn't even count the 100 knee to front thigh shots that turn out to be similar to body shots when they get tired. I'd prolly tap after a thigh shot and go down in a heap.

It was definitely 3-2 Hendricks, those judges were high giving GSP the first round.

I would like some overall new ufc scoring based on who kicked who's ass the most. Maybe based on how many minutes were dominated. Gsp could've won 1 minute in two rounds to win those rounds. That was a 25 minute fight and how many minutes did gsp have the upper hand? 5 or 6?
Even if Hendricks doesnt let him up when he was ground and pound and were to stay on him, he still loses the way they score.

Agreed. 2 rules that I'd like to see UFC use from Pride. First: The scoring system, they judged the whole fight not round by round. I hate when a guy gets beat up for 4 minutes and steal the round with a late one minute burst. Second: a warning card for stalling, a guy lays and prays hit them with a warning and take 10% of his purse. These 2 rules, IMO, would increase the excitement and help fix some of the bad judging. The judging honestly is flawed all together, to much credit for a takedown not enough for a defense of a td. Plus a td means squat if the guy takes him down and lays there or the other guy pops right back up. Also damage from the bottom is undervalued, I've seen guys just pummel a guy from the bottom and lose the round because he was on the bottom. But honestly until we have real fully trained and knowledgeable judges this crap will continue to happen.

Knowing GSP's character I bet he feels worse today than he would have if he lost. He doesn't want to retire with this kind of controversy.

Well he doesn't have to. Not sure that a guy that greased up against Penn has impeccable character though.
