If one guy lays on top of the other guy for 10 minutes, both should be eliminated. I don't understand why Dana was so upset about the last fight like this and gave this one a pass. He seriously did nothing for 2 rounds. A couple punches was the only difference.

Yeah he didn't do any damage. I still think they should adopt the old Pride rule. You get one warning for stalling then 10% of your purse gets taken every time after that.

I will be in Las Vegas over Memorial Day weekend with some friends and we've been thinking about whether or not to take in UFC 173 but none of us follow it closely or know anything about most of the fighters (I know Bones Jones, Anderson Silva, Rashad Evans, Lyoto Machida, Shogun Rua and of course, Rhonda Rousey but that's about it)...I was wondering if you guys could share your thoughts on the quality of the 173 card? The main card is:

1) Bantamweight Title Fight
Renan Barao (34-1) vs TJ Dillashaw (10-2)

2) Daniel Cormier (14-0) vs Dan Henderson (30-11)

3) Robbie Lawler (22-10) vs Jake Ellenberger (29-7)

4) Takeya Mizugaki (19-7-2) vs Francisco Rivera (10-2)

5) Jamie Varner (21-9-1) vs James Krause (20-5)

Thanks...if anyone here will be in Vegas that weekend, I'm staying at Mandalay Bay (Four Seasons) and would love to get some fellow Vols drunk.

Varner is usually pretty fun too watch, win or lose. Lawler vs Ellenburger should fireworks. Henderson has huge ko power, though i think it will be pretty one sided in Cormiers favor. Barao vs Dillshaw should be a great fight. I'm a huge fight fan, but seeing an event live is electric and a lot of fun. I highly recommend it.

Thanks...Really appreciate it! We are going and I will post some pics when I get home next Tues. I have been to the MGM Grand Garden Arena one other time and there aren't many bad seats unless you're up very high.

No problem, like most sporting events as far seeing the action home is better. Different camera angles and such, plus you will be looking through the cage. Though they should have screens up to watch too though. But also like most sporting events the atmosphere makes up for that. IMO Have fun man.
