I've seen a lot of really bad cuts, dislocated joints and broken legs in MMA, but this one...well...it made even this ol' doc wince. Dylan Reischman suffered one of the worst leg breaks in MMA history last night. Not for the feint of heart.

OUCH!

Yeah, I wished that I hadn't watched it. Poor guy... That was pretty rough. Prayers for a quick recovery 🙏

Izzy could not figure out how to get through Strickland’s defense at all. And sucks to be the guy who put 220k on Adesanya
Didn’t pay much attention to this card because I thought Izzy would run right through Strickland but looking at the highlights and the stats it was pure domination. Gotta be one of the biggest upsets in recent memory.

Biggest upset ever in that weight class. Izzy obviously has issues with bigger fighters, and with the benefit of hindsight, SS shouldn't have been such an underdog.

Just watched the replay, Strickland had Izzy moving back the whole fight and his defense was outstanding. Strickland’s jab was on point all fight.

I just watched this morning. SS had the perfect game plan. Close the distance, kee pressure and not allow Izzy the room to strike from distance. I will give Izzy credit, he didn’t get knocked out but he didn’t have a chance to win after he got initially rocked.

So Strickland has already broken his belt... But he duct taped and now says it's good as new. 😂😂

Some will say Dricus should be next and I don't disagree but Sean will make life changing $$$ on an immediate rematch with Izzy now he's the champion and the PPV point earnings that come with it.

I can see one of 2 directions...Dana gives Dricus the bout in 90 days, or if it's a longer layoff, it's whoever he thinks is a better matchup for SS. What Dana really wants is a title fight between DD and Izzy, and a loss to SS delays/spoils that.

Izzy's problem is he's been knocked out 3 times now, essentially, and also pummeled by a guy in the next weight class. Fkn around in kickboxing gave him his first KO and then going up to LHW. He should've never done that. Terrible for his UFC career. He's a small MW. I doubt he can make WW, but that's a better option than going up to LHW. So stupid. So much damage and he's to the point where I feel like he's in danger of being easy to KO.

Nick Khan was saying about the UFC/WWE merger that they'll be doing combined weekend events, so you'd have smackdown on Friday, UFC 294 on Saturday night, and a WWE PPV on Sunday night in the same location, and the cost efficiencies will be crazy.

I don't really ever agree with you but I think you are spot on. Unfortunately for Dricus he may be left out

If Pereria doesn't get crazy in their rematch Izzy may have been on his way to another TKO loss
