Fight played out like I expected, Stipe looked old and Jones looked outstanding. Now the question is what’s next for Jones, the obvious fight to make is Aspinall but I can’t lie a super fight with Pereira is super intriguing.

Is Colby finally desperate enough to take that fight? He still won't. He's about to fight the 9th ranked guy to (hopefully) finally get back in the win column.

Colby was not offered and turned down Shavkaat twice. Hamas his pants when Dana said that he could fight Shavkaat for a #1 contender fight but the "bully" (Lmao) ran like a coward. Stop being butthurt that no one wants to watch Hamas fight which is why he took so long getting a title fight. It's also why people like Colby and Usman get repeated shots.

Is he washed or are we realizing he was never that good? His entire resume is suspect. He's got a win against old Maia, old/battered Woodley, old Lawler, old Masvidal, and to his credit, he did beat Dos Anjos, who was actually old, too, but I think was still a pretty good fighter at the time. It's possible that Colby's as good as he was 5 years ago, and he's just facing good opponents now.

To be clear, when I use "old" I typically mean fight age. Colby is 35 but he only has 22 fights, so I don't really consider him that old, whereas Dos Anjos was 35 when they fought, but that was his 37th fight. Same thing with Masvidal. He was 37 which is a bit old, but it was his 51st fight, which made him really old.

Agreed maybe Blachowicz? Jiri would be running the LHW division if it wasn’t for Pereira, unfortunately for Jiri if the two fought 10 times AP would probably win 9. Just a horrible matchup for Jiri.

I agree AP just has too much power for Jiri, his defense needs to be a lot better. I wish Jiri could wrestle just a little bit.
