UFC Thread

I posted these in the Bellator thread, but here you go anyway. Big weekend for fights.

Friday night Bellator at 9pm on Spike

Friday night, Legacy Fighting 23 at 10pm on AxisTV

Saturday at 5pm, Bamma 13 on AxisTV

Saturday at 9pm, World Series of Fighting 5 on NBCSports.

Nobody cares. Its f'n football season.

The loser had a bad attitude, as if she deserves this win because the sport owes it to her. She had no fight in her in that 2nd round.

That was great how Juliana pinned the arm down with the leg to get in that second hook.

Frailty was good.

Never seen the others. But McConaughey sucks though?

Reign of Fire is pretty good, has Christian Bale in it too. Wtf to not seeing Dazed and Confused?

I mean he's ok I guess, all those RomComs and Surfer Dude don't help his case. I think he's pretty average. Oddly enough I enjoy him the most when he's a lawyer.

A Time to Kill
WE Are Marshall
Lincoln Lawyer

Love all 3 of those movies

Dazed and Confused is classic, and MM was great in it. A Time to Kill is good. Lincoln Lawyer is OK. It's not that he's not in good movies (but a lot suck) and it's not that he doesn't do well in certain roles. I don't like him because he has no acting range. Fast-talking southern lawyer, fast-talking southern football coach, fast-talking southern bookie, fast-talking southern magazine editor, etc.

I actually watched the Mayweather fight and man, does boxing suck. Watching Mayweather jab while inflicting zero damage with his pillows hands is about the most pointless thing. How he brings in 40 million for a fight is beyond me. Guys like Jones, Cain and Silva should bring in like 400 million then because their fights are actually good and they've knocked out more than 1 person since freaking 2007! More importantly, UFC tells fighters who to fight and put their belt on the line against while in boxing you can just dodge the top fighters if you're the champion. Case in point, Floyd refusing to fight Manny.

Anyways, last night was closer to a pillow fight than an actual fight. Consider the fact that 13 of Mayweather's knockouts came in his first 15 fights. That would mean he's knocked out just 13 people in his last 30 fights. That's only 13 knockouts since 1998(15 years)! This is boxing's top draw? Boy, the days of Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis etc. are long gone. At least you have the Klitchko brothers... who are the only heavyweights worth a crap and won't even fight each other.

Can't wait for Jones vs. Gustaffson. At least it consists of the top two fighters in their weight class and some damage will be inflicted, I assume.
