Dana really tipped his hand yesterday. He said with a win this weekend, he thinks Aldo should move to 155.

He also said none of Grant, Bendo, Thomson, or Diaz were deserving of a title shot. That basically leaves no one to fight Pettis.

I think that will be the headliner of the July 4th weekend card, assuming Aldo comes out of his fight with Lamas healthy.

I really really hope that fight happens, besides Jones vs Gustaffson 2 there isn't another fight I'd rather see.

Speaking of Gustaffson, why the hell is he the only guy to lose a close decision in a title fight to not get an immediate rematch?

I think if Glover hadn't have been there, he probably would have gotten the immediate rematch.

I watched that fight again on Reloaded a couple weeks ago. I would have hated to have been a judge for that fight. It was such a close fight.

Good point.

I haven't rewatched in awhile, it was crazy close. I do think Gustaffson won, though the champ usually gets that decision.

What's even worse for Gustafsson is he'll probably have to fight another fight after his next one to get another title shot, assuming Cormier beats Rashad. (Definitely not a sure thing)

I'm okay with Cormier getting the next shot. The guy should be fighting for the HW title right now if the HW champ wasn't his best friend. Gus should just take some time off and wait for the winner of that fight.

So is Cormier at LHW, or are they fighting at a catch weight? Cormier doesn't seem like he could ever make 205
