UF's Beal headed to the NBA

He's not wrong. Kentucky is not even a shadow of what it was last year with the current group it has coming in. You guys will lose at least three games in the SEC.

had beal come back, Florida would have won the SEC most likely, but still would lose both games to TN.

Because the recruiting class at UK is dog****, huh? It's the #1 class for the 4th year in a row. That alone is good enough to win the SEC in any given year.

You might want to hold your breath until rosters are finalized. Cal still has to buy a few players to fill it out, call in some favors from WWW and Jay-Z.

Some people never learn from history.

No one is denying kentucky won't be the same team. But then again...what may seem like a bad class for UK is still #1 in the nation and will (should) easily win 30+ games (as usual for Cal).

Says the guy that has Vanderbilt in the top 5.

Didn't know the whole class had left lol.

UT in 2nd is a joke...sadly they'll probably underachieve and finish 5th/6th. Bama is probably a lit overrated going into next season. Oh yeah..and Kentucky, only a drunk homer would predict UK in 4th...

Here's what you're missing about UKs class:

Lose:
Davis
MKG
Jones
Lamb
Teague
Miller
Vargas

Gain:
Noel's
Cauley
Poythress
Goodwin

You're losing 7 players and right now are replacing them with 4 you're starting 5 looks good, but past that? It looks bad.

Also, you're replacing 2 sophomores and 2 seniors with 4 freshman. You never know how freshman will pan out and if they're ready immediately.

As of now, even though UK had another good class, they've lost a lot and there are just a lot of ? About that roster.

Now of they go out and add Bennett and Jefferson that definitely help.

Who should be ahead of Tennessee? Kentucky and Florida? Bama didn't really get better and we finished ahead of them last year.

Tennessee should be top 4, and seeing as how we didn't underachieve last year I don't think we will this year either.

I do expect it to be a much more competitive league this year though. I don't see any team just clearly running away with it.

Kentucky - Will lose 2-3 games.
Florida - If beal came back they might be 1st
Mizzouri - Welcome to the SEC.
Bama - if the hype is true.
Tenn - could easily go anywhere up to 3rd.

Remember, UK might keep 1 or 2 guys. It's highly unlikely but anythings possible. Jones was stupid enough to come back as a top ten pick and didn't go any higher. He's still that stupid imo. However, winning a title definitely leaves nothing to prove for the team so really no one should be motivated to come back.

I don't get the bama hype.

They lose green and add nobody. I get they return a lot but if we finished ahead of them last year and they lose their best player, why shouldn't we be expected to finish ahead of them again?

I still think uk probably goes 1 UF or Tennessee battle for 2-3. Donovan always finds a way to lose a few in the sec, mainly to Tennessee.

Fwiw...however they do scheduling could change this. If UT plays everyone once and UK UF Vandy twice and bama doesn't play any of those teams twice, then I'd probably give bama the nod.

Hard to predict without a schedule.

I don't know about UT going 2nd. It could happen if UF chokes as usual. Vandy will have a sub-par year and no one else really improves in the east. The door is really open for the vols to grab 2nd in the east (and overall). I can see it happening...but hard to tell this early.

I can honestly see Tennessee 1-4.

To me you have Kentucky, Florida, Tennessee and bama, possibly Mizzou all in the top 5.

Without knowing how recruiting will finish and what the schedule will look like its hard to predict.

I expect those 5 Teams to be in the top 5 though imo

I honestly do not see how that matters when so many leave after one year.

This isn't football where everyone is staying at least three years.

Lmao ok.

So Alabama is supposed to be good because a few posters on VN said so???

That answers that question.

That link put them at 3rd in sec. And if you look at the roster they could be the same team - green. They played without him for a while anyway lol and looked decent.
