Anyone that has followed that team knows that Yeguete has been their best defender when healthy and does all the dirty work. He rebounds, plays terrific defense and help defense. As numerous articles have stated, and I linked two of them, he also does things that don't show up in the stat column. Watch what the beat writers say that watch every game and the national columnists that watch a lot of games say. They say the same thing.

He was our best defender last season... Wilbekin has surpassed him as the best defender this season.

And yeah, losing Yeguete hurt a lot last season. Prather wasn't ready to contribute and Young was playing timid. Prather stepped up in the tournament; though, so we ended up being fine. Prather isn't nearly as good of a defender as Yeguete, but he does give us a little more skill as an undersized four.

Florida is still very formidable. We shall see if we are truly peaking and getting mentally tougher or not. We NEED this W plain and simple. We are running out of gut check games. Go get it done Vols!

And why hasn't Yeguete been as good this season? Because he has been hurt. I'll take a fully healthy Yeguete defending over Wilbekin any day of the week. There aren't many 6' 7" guys that can guard that many spots on the floor.

Obviously we just disagree. There's really no point in debating this further. :eek:lol:

Wilbekin is our best defender imo, and that's including a healthy Yeguete. You obviously disagree. Watch Wilbekin play defense (presumably on Golden) on Tuesday. He'll most likely impress you. Now, hopefully Young can contain Stokes... That's what I'm worried about.
