On whether he'll get a raise:
"It's like I said with Stacy, all of our coaches will get raises, and in due time, you guys will get all that information."
UGA fans look stupid now. Bashing Garner this whole time LOL.
It has been posted many times recently, but of all the quotes in this post this one hits home. Georgia may have been depleted by injuries up front this year, but by all accounts they were significant under achievers. Georgia has too much talent for Florida and Bama to stomp them like they did last season.
Watching Richt and the GA administration getting in lock step with the rest of the conference and rewarding failure really warms the heart of this Vol fan that has seen more than enough of that behavior from my own program.
Most folks know that UGA had a makeshift o-line the entire season. Trinton Sturdivant, the leader, was lost the last practice of spring and the injuries just mounted up after that. For the Michigan St. game we started all freshmen and sophmores on the o-line. I don't know many coaches who can work well with those numbers.
The good news is that we have some young, battle tested talent now to work with for the future.
I believe that Croom, Fulmer, Tuberville, Nutt, etc. would disagree with the statement that the conference rewards failure.

On Lane Kiffin saying he thought he could steal recruits in Georgia because Richt's staff wasn't going as hard after them:
"I would say this: I'll just make comments about our program, and I feel like everybody else should probably do the same."
