UGA Coach Rodney Garner To Remain With Bulldogs

On whether he'll get a raise:
"It's like I said with Stacy, all of our coaches will get raises, and in due time, you guys will get all that information."

It has been posted many times recently, but of all the quotes in this post this one hits home. Georgia may have been depleted by injuries up front this year, but by all accounts they were significant under achievers. Georgia has too much talent for Florida and Bama to stomp them like they did last season.

Watching Richt and the GA administration getting in lock step with the rest of the conference and rewarding failure really warms the heart of this Vol fan that has seen more than enough of that behavior from my own program.

UGA fans look stupid now. Bashing Garner this whole time LOL.

I've not heard any UGA fans bashing Garner. If they did, their not very astute fans. Garner is one of the best position coaches/recruiters in the country. And his loyalty is very impressive. I think he's gotten tired of moving his family around and has found a great home town in Athens.

Go Gaders! (can't believe I said that!!)

Most folks know that UGA had a makeshift o-line the entire season. Trinton Sturdivant, the leader, was lost the last practice of spring and the injuries just mounted up after that. For the Michigan St. game we started all freshmen and sophmores on the o-line. I don't know many coaches who can work well with those numbers.

The good news is that we have some young, battle tested talent now to work with for the future.

I believe that Croom, Fulmer, Tuberville, Nutt, etc. would disagree with the statement that the conference rewards failure.

You keep making excuses, and eventually the losing season is on the way. Trust me.

Moreno's going to the NFL. Stafford may come back. But Caleb King's not any good and UGA's receivers will be down. AG Green is the only top player coming back. UGA loses 3 next year and ends up in a minor bowl again.

Eh, Georgia will be strong. AG green will Make the other recivers around him better. I am not saying they will be any better next year then they were this year, but they will most def be in the race for the sec.

Not to sure about that statement.

On Lane Kiffin saying he thought he could steal recruits in Georgia because Richt's staff wasn't going as hard after them:

"I would say this: I'll just make comments about our program, and I feel like everybody else should probably do the same."

Something about this exchange reminds me of Spurrier and Fulmer. It's nice for a change to have our guy being the aggressive, confident one and the other team's guy to be the one taking the high road.

Nothing else from Chris Low? Is it officially over now? And I can obsess about something else?

UGA will be fine next year.. but i still think UT can take them.. cuz they wont have the leadership of stafford and moreno

Nope

Caleb King will be fine as soon as he learns the blocking schemes.

King could not stay eligible at a public school, transfered to GAC where he was given grades so he could play and graduate.
He may not be smart enough to learn schemes.
