I wouldn't doubt Kiffin would try everything he could to get him here. Kiffin doesn't give up easy. But I would say Garner has made his choice.

You have to love how Kiffin looks at things though. He doesn't like to lose. You can already see that.

If UT offered enough money, Garner would be on a plane right now. They went cheap, and got burned.

I would take at least the same to get Garner as it took to get Orgeron. Then you still don't know if UGA would match it. Garner is a pipeline to Atlanta. How much is that worth? To UGA its probably priceless.

253k ain't what I call priceless. UGA could have give him a big enough raise before this to keep the wolves away.

Sounds like working on the O staff did not suit him. Plus the raise was not enough to justify them moving the family in their opinion.

I dunno.. I don't think many fans have turned against Garner in this thread.. I haven't read the whole thing but the first to pages are people basically saying "dang, would have been nice" and giving him thumbs up for the raise...

A big reason he didn't come was because he wanted to stay on the defensive side of the ball.

Unless the AD opens up the pocket book to give alot of guys raises, I don't see Georgia paying Rodney 400k and paying him more money then they are paying coordinators. It has to have some balance.

There is also information that there were discussions of him getting a defensive position, but his response was he appreciated it but he didn't want to disturb the "chemistry" of the "plan" on defense. Not real convincing if you ask me.

no offense but that just reads like Hubbs' opinion. He has no more inside info at UGA than he does at UT
