Again, this "propensity" isn't some supernatural quality that our team possesses. It's an indictment on the coach. Unfortunately for Richt, there are a number of indictments for which he was solely responsible.
Why are you putting words in my mouth to make what I said sound ridiculous? I never said Georgia had some supernatural quality to underachieve. I don't know exactly why your program underachieves to the level that it does. I just know that it does.
If you told someone who knows nothing about the history of college football demographic information of the southeastern United States and gave them information about each of the SEC schools as institutions, not football programs (alumni base, resources, boosters, no major in-state rival, etc.), they'd say that a dynasty existed at UGA, not Alabama or anywhere else.
When you consider the proximity to talent, location, demographics, resources of the school, etc., Georgia is probably the most underachieving football program
ever, not just when Richt was there. It wasn't limited to Richt. Georgia has done this pretty much since they started playing football. Georgia should not, for example, have a losing record to Tennessee all-time. It's just by a single game, but you should be ahead in that series. You also trail Auburn by a game in the all-time series and have only beaten Florida 7 times since they "got good" (7-21 since 1989). You should have way more SEC titles than Tennessee does (we have 13, you have 12). Georgia should have way more than just 2 national titles (Tennessee has 6). Tennessee also has more all-time wins and a higher winning percentage, even with us having sucked for a decade now.
You should be a much, much better program historically than Tennessee is, but you're not.
