We shot ourselves in the foot multiple times in the first 20 minutes of the game. Dropped touchdown, fumbled kick return, procedure penalties. Normal first game jitters but definitely not a smooth start.I didn’t realize we got off to a rough start.
Yes. My concern was that our offense wasn't explosive against one of the worst teams in the FBS. Our offense was effective and the defense looked good against one of the worst offenses in college football that had all new starters on the o-line. Our run game was impressive, but could we run the ball that well in SEC play consistently? That's up in the air.We shot ourselves in the foot multiple times in the first 20 minutes of the game. We should have been up 21 to 0 at least after one. Once we get into
Conference play though, we can’t be leaving points on the field like that
I know right? There hasn’t been anything bad said and they squallin like mashed cats. Imma have to learn that everything has to be butterflies n bumblebees. No more comments on the obvious just praise least someone gets all up in their emotions.I sure hope we don't lose a game this year, some of our fans would not survive it.
I don't get it, Georgia won 48-7.No puppy fans yet to tell us what a powerhouse UT Martin is?
It is so silly to even be comparing this. I don’t think Georgia or Tennessee is to disappointed in their first games. First games teams are working out kinks and nerves and just being back to playing. Tennessee played pretty clean, them type things are probably the most important to look at in these opener mismatches. One thing for sure is you can bank on is most all teams will get better. GBOI mean we scored more points against a power five team than Georgia did against a cupcake.
I think their start was way worse
Just like last year, UGA was simply going thru the motions due to an opponent they didn't really focus on. Won't be the last time they do it this season. Sadly, when the bright lights shine, they will, too.It is so silly to even be comparing this. I don’t think Georgia or Tennessee is to disappointed in their first games. I had a glimpse of the future...
2017 Georgia 41 Tenn 0
2018 Georgia 38 Tenn 12
2019 Georgia 43 Tenn 14
2020 Georgia 44 Tenn 21
2021 Georgia 41 Tenn 17
2022 Georgia 27 Tenn 13
2023 Another year, another loss

“Rough start” and “good win” are not exclusive. As a matter of fact, it is a good reflection on our coaching that we managed to turn the former into the latter. Pruitt angrinst Georgia State for instance had a “rough start” but was unable to get the team unstuck and wound up with “humiliating loss”.You know it’s bad when winning games 49-13 is considered a “rough start”.
