UGA would've gotten spanked by Oregon, too...

Try the results of the game itself rather than conjecture?

You.... being you. A condescending jerk who relishes in crap like this. I could take the time to respond to those things... but you simply are not worth it or worthy of it.

I don't get the 99 hate at all.

99 is one of the strongest posters on this board, which is sad because this is a Vol board.

He's dead on. We've played one elite team, one team with an elite unit, two cupcakes, and the worst team to ever step foot in Neyland. Yeah, we're 3-2, and maybe 2003, or 2006 Tennessee would have been, too. But what we've looked like in our wins has been the most damning. We let a guy who couldn't even start at Virginia run up and down the field like JFF. He was their entire team, and they still almost beat us.

We really aren't a very good football team. If Georgia has holes, we have gulfs.

UGA was in a game with UNT until half. USA probably would run UNT off the field. There are games that will go that way. UT made some critical mistakes and had some bad breaks. The game should have been much more like 45-17... but things do happen that make games that should be lop-sided close... or even losses... aka the infamous Saban loss to ULM.

I more or less agree about the D. They are stronger vs the run in the middle but give up the edges too often and have too many soft spots in the pass D. AJ keeps playing on passing downs and continues to be a liability in coverage.

I disagree about the O. Worley and the WR's are taking more chances. He's making better throws but making mistakes on reads. All are playing less apprehensive.

Worley made his best throws of the year last Saturday to Croom and Smith. If he can clean up the misses on the short stuff and keep making those throws downfield, the O will improve "suddenly"... though they've been coaching on those things since the spring.
I will admit, the entire drive leading up to the TD to Smith was promising, as was the TD drive against Florida. But he threw two picks to close out the half after each of those drives. Is that improvement? How can you say it is?

Neither does ours. We just gave up 24 points to a football program that didn't exist when I graduated high school. I'm 24. The only thing this defense has done better than last year is turn the ball over. But what good is that if your offense can't capitalize? I would love to see the points off turnover stat for our squad compared to the rest of the nation. I bet it looks pitiful. Meanwhile, it's taken us 5 games to get the QB to throw for more than 200 yards, and every time we start running the ball well we abandon it. Our recievers are so horrible at route running that our featured reciever is a freshman who is the only kid on the team who seems to be able to run consistent routes. Too bad he's dropped so many balls after running such crisp routes.

That's a little unfair because Worley scored on almost every turnover up to the USA game, and Peterman scored on none. Yes, I know, it is a team game, etc, but it's hard to say Worley wouldn't have scored on Florida's first turnover.

It ain't fun dealing with the facts is it?
LOL. I have no problem with "facts". Your snide, condescending remarks and innuendo... Yeah, I have a problem with that.

What I wrote was a fact, not condescension.
No. But I am hardly surprised that you are confused about the difference between your opinions and facts.

Florida did score a season high . Oregon did quit. Worley was benched.

And again... there are reasons behind any of those things except for Oregon "quitting"... that is nothing more than an opinion borned of your smug attitude.

FWIW, they didn't have to quit. I pretty much went ballistic after that game because it appeared that UT's coaches had pretty much tanked it.

i dont hate 99
i just dont understand all the condescending remarks.
why is he so worried ab the UT football team if hes a UF fan? ive never once went to a UF board and never will. i really dont care whats going with their team no matter if they are 12-0 or 0-12. so i guess for me its just hard to understand why hes here all the time. then you look at the nature of his comments and you can see why others on here dont take too kindly to him. its easy to kick a team when they are down.

Basically he's playing more aggressive rather than apprehensive. I would much rather someone make a mistake while trying than to fail by not trying. IMO, he took almost no chances until after he was benched. Afterwards, he started playing looser and more as if he had nothing to lose.

The issues you point to and others are correctable. If he had not taken those shots then maybe UT beats USA worse... but the coaches have nothing to coach him up on. He is taking chances and going ahead and throwing to where he expects the receiver to be rather than only throwing at open receivers. That was an open criticism by Jones that he's improved on. Now they can work on assuring the receivers get there and that they are on the same page as to where that should be. Again, before he actually started playing like that... there was nothing that could be corrected.

The second pick if I am remembering them in correct order was blamed on Pig by Jones. Worley said they read the coverage different. Nontheless... that's something that can be reviewed and coached.

Throwing into coverage like he did to Pig can be coached.... and if the read had been correct the pass would have been perfect.

Oddly to me the tipped ball may have been the worst read of the game. The one view they gave from behind showed two receivers too close together with defenders in position. I'm not sure where Worley was going with that even before it got tipped.

That INT and the bad short throws are the most troublesome to me. The other mistakes lend themselves to improvement by coaching.

If you can't accept Oregon quit, then there is no hope

True but that wasn't my question. It is what it is but how you feel about it is different because of who it's coming from and how it's said. Not necessarily what's being said.

My question to you is if she were fat, would you deny it like a fool to the outsider that points it out?

No I wouldn't but neither would I confirm it. For someone to say that their intent would have to be malicious. Especially if their comment was unsolicited.

More than likely I would say something along the lines of "I didn't ask for your f***ing opinion and get the h*ll away from me before I curb stomp the s**t out of you." Family is just different though. I could receive that better from family.

And their offense will fizzle, as well, when they have to play Florida. I do think our offense looks much worse than what it really is, simply because we have played the best offense in College and the best defense. Plus, Oregon's defense > UGA's.

Had it not been for turnovers, we probably would have come out of the Swamp with a W. It's like that old adage, "it's never as good as it seems and never as bad as it seems." I do believe this team is MUCH better than what we give them credit for. Our main problem is that we simply haven't gotten SEC caliber play from our QB position, and in the SEC, one big weakness can be the difference in W's and L's.

UGA is close to having 2-3 losses already, so I don't see them as being a juggernaut, by any stretch of the imagination. If the staff can develop Worley enough to simply be efficient (like Daryl Dickey was in 85), this can be a good SEC team.

We may not have a lot of experience at WR, but we definitely got more size and talent than most teams do, so, I'm not as concerned about them as most are.

Oregon. When a team hangs nearly 60 on you in 3 quarters and puts it in neutral for over an entire quarter, then no reference to that name should ever be spoken again.
No doubt they beat UGA, but I doubt they hang 80 on them like they were on the way to with us.
