Sheesh, UCONN is playing a lot better than I thought they would. I hope this Baylor loss isn't a curse rather than a blessing. I'd rather UCONN NOT win a championship more than I want TN to have a chance to win one. That's how much I hate UCONN.

Yeah, but Notre Dame has to beat Duke first and even if they do, it is VERY hard to beat a good team 4 times in one season. Baylor found that out 2 years ago after beating TAM 3 times finally losing in the dance. And, all of Notre Dame's wins were close. If a team keeps getting chances to make adjustments, eventually they will enough to get a "W".

If Notre Dame doesn't beat them a gain they are probably gonna win it. Baylor just didn't give Louisville any respect and played a very lazy game for the first 20 minutes. One thing about Baylor they were always focused when they played UConn, Tennessee, or Notre Dame. Now we have to hope that Notre Dame can beat UConn for the fourth time. If not then it is gonna be tough for any of the teams including us to beat them. We just don't have the post players this season to do it JMO. At least UConn will finally be playing somewhere except home so hopefully on a neutral court Notre Dame can beat them again. If not it may be 8 titles a piece for Tennessee and UConn.

I feel like we could hang with ND easier than UConn. We just don't match up very well with them.

Anyway, we will have our hands full with Louisville. We will worry about the rest when the time comes.

I have a family member who says the same thing and this annoys me. Personally, I don't want to cower away from anyone. Anywhere, anytime baby. I'd rather have a shot at the best team out there. Think of how huge it would be to take a team not even picked to win it's own conference and beat a team coached by Geno. It's not likely, but I say bring em' on. We ain't scurred! You want to be the best, you gotta beat the best.

It's only hard to beat a team 4 times if you make that bet before playing any of the games. If you've already won 3, the 4th isn't any harder than any other game. But, uconn's freshmen have improved a lot since they last played ND. That spells trouble for ND. But, Dolson is hurt, so who knows.

But, they easily beat Kentucky tonight by 30 and rested their best players, with three freshmen playing an average of 24 minutes each.

It could be a uconn Lady Vol matchup if they concentrate on beating L'ville first.

I wouldn't say I'm scared to face UCONN. I'm just ticked off that a team favored to beat UCONN is out making it more likely THEY could win out.

Put another way, if Baylor losing means UCONN wins, I would have rather Baylor won and not UCONN. I think every true Lady Vols fan would agree with me on that :)

The lady vols matchup with every team left in this tourney...the only one they didn't match up with was baylor who is no longer playing

I agree. Don't understand the posts suggesting otherwise. If Holly manages Simmons right, they have a shot at this thing. If she doesn't and the bad Simmons takes over they are in trouble.

I understand what you are saying. Of course, a coach would not want his/her players to feel this way, because in this instance, it's like you would be saying, "Hey girls, we are cheering for Baylor to beat the tar out of Louisville, so that they can beat us and then stop UCONN from winning #8, cuz Lord knows you aren't gonna beat them." I personally would rather get to the championship game against UCONN and lose. I would judge the state of my team better if we beat Goliath, than if we beat David, so to speak.

I agree with you on your main point about a true Lady Vols fan having a disgust for UCONN, and if it were announced tomorrow that next year they were forced to shut down the women's CBB program up there due to financial restraints, I would think it was Christmas morning all over again.

Simmons really struggles against baylor everyone else no so much...and as izzy gets even healthier this team gets better

This would be my preferred scenario. Also the preferred scenario of ESPN and many hotels in the New Orleans area.

I'm just glad we don't have to face that Greiner again. Seems like she's been there 6 years already. Hope she has no credits left to fill.

I wouldn't be shocked to see a lady vols/UCONN final to beat out one of the final four men's games in terms of viewer shares. the entire states of TN and connecticut would be watching, as well as any women's ball lovers and more.

Simmons isn't having another game that bad, IMO. She is due for a 20 pt game.

HE won't be back

I heard Griner's post game interview on the car radio---sounded just like Kobe.

My girlfriend was freaking.
