UK is a dangerous game.

Kentucky is a good team. They almost beat ole miss, the South Carolina game is puzzling, even though they had their backup QB playing. But they do have flaws. You can’t take any game for granted but I’m not worried about that with Coach H. If they beat us it won’t be because we were looking past them. I think we win by 10+.

They are a ranked team with pretty good defense and a good offense with Levis. They also have a bye week before TN week. They just beat a ranked Miss State team too. It would be easy for this team to look ahead to UGA and lay an egg against UK.

Just my thoughts.
Stop with the soft attitude. Stop. We very well may have the best team in the country. Don’t be a wimp, Vols roll. Something like 48-20

I agree with this. The only reason that I don’t think they overlook it is because it’s Kentucky and we want to bury them. I think our hatred of UK helps us here and prevents us from looking ahead to UGA. With that said, whether we focus solely on them or not, this won’t be an easy game. Stoops is a good coach. He’ll have them ready to play… here’s to hoping we don’t have a let down from Bama or aren’t looking ahead to UGA because they are good enough to beat us.

Fine, KY(jelly) could be a tough game, but they don’t have the talent that FL, LSU and ALA have. Plus Neyland will still smell like cigar smoke and keep the motivation high for team and fans alike. I really do feel like we beat them by double digits.

We will be the their super bowl this year. They’ve already fallen short of what they hilariously thought they were this year. Beating us is all the UK team and fans have left to live for until basketball season. I don’t think their offense can keep up for 4 quarters with ours though.

I agree. But Levis is a turnover machine. We can’t overlook them

UK can score.
Every SEC team can score against us except VANDY (it seems).
Most will not score at will like BAMA did for 3 quarters, but any SEC team not VANDY can put up at least 35 points against our Defense.
We should take care of business against the Cats. They have mismatches all over the field our coaches should be able to exploit, but they will score 28-35 points probably.

Now our defense is capable of shutting them down to 10 points.
No one has run at will against our front 7 and UK is not going to be the team to do it. Our guys handled the best back in the SEC yesterday with ferocity I haven't seen against BAMA since 2006 (2009 defense honorable mention). I can't see Levis sitting comfortably in the pocket against our pass rush. He will find some open receivers and we are vulnerable to some big plays behind the secondary.
We simply have to outgun them on offense.

You’re spot on. Their defense is legit. Shut down State who has been scoring at will. Plus, they are very effective with Levis. It will be a challenge. Anyone who wrote off UK after the SC loss is nuts.
Who have they played that establishes their "defense is legit"? LSU held MSU under 300 yds also. Their schedule is as weak as you can get and still be in the SEC.

The O's they've faced ranked nationally in total O:
Miami OH- 120
UF- 53
Youngstown St- FCS
NIU- 69
Ole Miss- 14th, loss and allowed OM 399 yds
USCe- 78
MSU- 54... largely because they've run yardage up against bad opponents

They've faced one team in the top 50 in total O and couldn't stop them.

Are you implying the UK defense is better than Bama's? JH isn't gonna let the team look ahead, and listening to some of the player's previous pressers, I think they know what the deal is and how to approach each game. You can hear it in how they talk; this team is on a mission this year. This isn't to say they won't lose a game, but it won't be due to looking ahead.
