Every time I think of Kentucky I think of that 30 point beat down Tennessee put on them last year. I just can't help it.

Every time I think of Kentucky I think of how UNC has beat them almost twice as many times as they have beaten UNC. And then I think of that 30 point beatdown in Knoxville. And then I think of how there players were almost ready to fight one another during that game. And then I think of whiny-ass Cal. And then I think of whinny UK fans, who are still whining about the officiating for the UNC game this year. Go look at any random message board where UK fans might post. There's a good chance they're still whining about the UNC game and the officials.

Believe me I know. Believe me. I know. Raw numbers will never be an enemy of the Kentucky fan. Contextualizing those numbers on the other hand...well, that's a different story. But yes, we know. Kentucky has the best numbers of any program in college bball, despite their poor record against UNC.

Let's put it this way, had the world worked the way it did for the first 5 Kentucky titles, the 2005 and 2009 UNC titles would have never happened. Probably would have been Kentucky that won them. I'll let you figure out what I mean by this post. And no, it's not nonsense. It's truth.

I'll say this though, you UK fans here are good people. I respect you all. I just like to clown around. Go to the ESPN board, however, and UK fans there are still whining about the UNC game. It's a testament to you good UK folks here.

This is going to seem like a dig at TN but one of the games I remember most is the revenge game in 1993.

TN had just beat KY by 1 on a 4 point play in the closing seconds the week prior
