Ukraine II: The Fight Against Russian Aggression

Crimea was ceded to Ukraine by Khrushchev in the mid 1950s for whatever reason. Outside of that, Crimea has been Russian for the last 250+ years.

actually it was barely 200 years. 1991-1783 = 208 years.

and there were several wars fought over control of the area in that time, so I would hardly call it settled. also it ignores a lot of the Russification of the area at the expense of the locals and a nearly constant guerrilla warfare by the Tatars.

Crimean War.
In the Russian Civil war they sided with the non-commies.
WWII they chose the nazis over Russia, but that was probably a any port in the storm situation.
Stalin's purges (i forget the term for non Russians in this case)

don't pass it off as them being proud fliers of the tri colors.

also at what point does control become historically relevant? 50 years? 100 years? if the 23 years of Ukraine control don't count, then we can surely take that same period away from the Russians control and then you are definitely under 200 years, far from your cries of 250+

also this ignores in 1954 the USSR gave Crimea to Ukraine. so from 2014-1954 it wasn't under "russian" control either.

1954-1783=171 years. we take away the first 23 years of that, because its apparently irrelevant that's 148 years.

1. eff what Russia wants, sovereign Poland can do its own thing. Its not comparable but I wouldn't give a hoot if France complained about us tearing down the statue of liberty.
2. Give them an olive branch, give them a first claim choice to go in and remove any of them they want to keep. no need to be overly antagonistic, but also tough noogies.
3. sell tickets to the destruction of the rest. Capitalism > Communism.

Russia says trying to rewrite history by defending the shared invasion of Poland with Germany.

Sept 1, 1939 was a long time ago....and there are many versions of history depending on the writer...

Can we stay in this millenium, maybe?

uh, yeah maybe the last millennium but within a century. and considering you and Ras toss out crap from "250+" years ago I am going to say no you can't limit the date range.

A $2million fine. That'll teach ExxonMobil!
