You are wrong. The working is largely shifting to the right. The democrat party has now become the party of the rich.
Racism is much higher in the democrat party. You will see it on full display from white leftists when more and more minorities vote Republican in the future.I think you are only capturing the most ardent, vocal subgroup of MAGA. Yes, in that group, there is probably pretty high correlation with racism.
I think the MAGA movement is more than that. I think it includes those who are opposed to the social policies of the Dems and media but did not feel like they had a voice before Trump. Trump said the things they were thinking but no other politician would say. I would say racism correlation in this group is much, much smaller.
I would call it more surprising than impressive. Maybe even disheartening. The high school educated, blue collar worker has been alienated by the Dems going further and further left and the Repubs only caring about the rich. Trump catered to those voters in a way the two major parties haven't done in decades.
Not a Trump supporter at all but it was impressive in how he threaded the needle to build a winning coalition in 2016.
First - younger.Depends on what you consider a better candidate than Trump or Biden in 2014, and the bet is that most of us here won't agree with your definition of "better".
I would call it more surprising than impressive. Maybe even disheartening.
I'm not exactly sure what you mean when you say high school educated, blue collar workers were alienated by the Dems going further and further left.
That’s all you have? That’s pathetic but, then again, we all knew it was nothing more. And your point isn’t great anyway as Biden even called Trump names during the national debate.Avoided the adolescent boy's practice of attempting to attach derogatory nicknames to the people who he feels are mean to him or that he fears others may view as superior.
Not like Biden or the ClintonsI'll take your word for it, but I don't really understand your perspective.
But from my perspective Trump being accepted as the champion of the forgotten man and middle America is just incompressible, he has lived a life showing nothing but contempt and disregard to anyone not rich, famous, or part of the coastal elite.
I've accepted the fact that I will never understand the perspective that allows one to view Trump in a positive way.
