Thankfully, it seems like Butch understands this. Tradition is great for the fanbase, alumni, and coaches. Not so much for (most of) the recruits.

Tradition is only brought up when the present isn't going too well.

I never in my life counted two as "a lot"

I'm not sure why this is turning into a pissing contest, this is an outstanding facility and we have one as well.

Recent BCS bowl appearances, winning seasons, conference championships...minor stuff like that.

I am talking specifically on the facility itself. not the trophies, stickers on the walls, furniture and TV's. all of that stuff will change yearly.

Strictly the building and the amenities...

but yes we have minor stuff as well....i believe it out weighs oregons by just a little bit...

16 conference titles, oregon-10
6 national championships oregon-0
49 bowl appearances. oregon-26
799 wins and 68% winning percentage oregon- 603 wins 55%

All major stuff indeed, but nothing recent...which was my point.

Lawrence and bamawriter, you two can suck my ****.

A bunch of Jort wearing cousin f****rs.

I like how this went:

Vol4Life25 posts a stupid, inaccurate comment.

Bamawriter points out the inaccuracy of the stupid comment.

Vol4Life25 loses his tiny mind over being called out on his stupid comment.

Ok ok my bad, We have been in plenty of high profile bowl games, the BCS wasn't invented before 98, but still "A lot" of our past bowl games would of been BCS bowls if the BCS existed, But if you want to be technical then whatever.

How many of those bowls have we been in during this century though? How many has Oregon?

You really think any non Tennessee fan cares about what happened 15 years ago?

Those are nice facilities Its good for the sport when these other schools put in the money to better their programs. It just makes it that much more sweet when we beat them in recruiting and on the field:dance2: Oh and by the way how long are those hardwood floors gonna last in that weight room

If by "technical" you mean "accurate", then by all means...try to be a little more technical when you post, and you won't look like a fool. :birgits_giggle:

It's nice but it's nothing special. At least, not for kids born and raised in the South. I've had 3 good friends all move out to Oregon and Washington for college. Two attended Oregon and the other went to Washington State. All 3 ended up transferring back to the South after their first semester. They all said "I hated it out there" after the first month.

Props to them but seems like it was built more as an ego display of Phil Knight flaunting his wealth than with recruits in mind. Are 17 yr old kids gonna care that the marble is from Italy or their locker was made in Germany or the floor is from Portugal? I think UT & Florida did a better job spending their money on things that impress high school kids.

And their locker room looks like the inside of a Dick's Sporting Goods store.

Idk man, that facility is pretty darn impressive. Not knocking ours at all because we went for a different style, but that will be a major recruiting tool for them.
