If there is continuity then the person should be dead unless it's a dream.. I know what you did last summer the killer jumps at Julie at the end having her survive that is garbage.

In the guys and secrets episode Leo a white lighter said that white lighters can locate a charge which I assume they mean people they know as long as the persons are in not in a magic protected area or the underworld.
Prue and a kidnapped kid were both in a gas station and Leo wasn't able to locate her.

So seriously why the heck wasn't he able to locate Prue when she wasn't in the underworld or a magic protected area?
